The ambiance was pleasant with good music playing. The shrimp was tasty and well-seasoned. However, the Mac and cheese wasn't homemade, and the yams tasted like they were straight from a can.

I purchased food for the first time yesterdayevening. It was ok. Staff was very friendly. But a message to the owner... I ordered the chicken pasta. It had SOOOOO much salt in that dish that I couldn't even finish the meal. Very disappointed because it was pretty good other than the extreme saltiness. Please talk to the cooks because they are gonna take somebody out putting that much salt in folks food

OMG!!!! As someone who lives down south, I love southern soul food, and I was pleasantly surprised to learn that Sylk's knows how to soul food right! The food was fresh, the portions were plentiful, and the customer service was on point. This spot has a live DJ, a dance floor, a nice bar, and they even have a private VIP room for private gatherings like birthdays, bachelorette parties, company parties, ect.....I highly recommend Sylk's! I'll be back for sure!!!

I mean it's Cleveland... what do you expect. All things considered, the food is good. It's everything you could make in your own kitchen except you don't have to make it so that's nice. The service is always good and friendly. It's made to order so it's always fresh and doesn't usually take very long.

I cannot express enough how great it is to go to a venue and get what you expect. I went to a comedy show and the show was fantastic. Comedian Capone is an outstanding host. I laughed the entire night. On top of that, they had vegan appetizers!!! The drinks are reasonably priced and the customer service will have you being very generous with your tips. The doors open at the time the show time is on your ticket not a minute before. There is a security check at the door, and even security is kind while doing there job.

Food is phenomenal and the shows are great. Their weekend is a great vibe as well. Service can be spotty and they are sometimes not open when they say they are but they don't post signs (I.e when my coworkers and I showed up for a happy hour event at 3:30 and they said they were closed for staff training).

My husband and I purchased tickets and went to Sheryl Underwood's comedy show, it was a most unpleasant experience. The show was over an hour late and my friend had to stand in line outside for 45 minutes. There are no assigned seats or tables, so we ended up sitting at tables near the front large window. The seats are small 4" square hard metal and extremely uncomfortable. It was deceptive, because Sheryl was the MC and not the headliner as the flyer indicated. They were short staffed, so food and drinks took forever. The catfish nuggets were cooked too hard, it was like eating walnuts. We will not be attending any further shows at Sam Sylks, Maple Heights.

I ordered the cat fish and shrimp box and the chicken and shrimp box for my sister. Total, with delivery and fees, came to 45.00. This was one of the worst meals I've ever had! The fish was as if they had taken one filet and sliced it in half to make two pieces of fish, the fish was that thin; the shrimp were more bread than shrimp, dried and hard as though they were refried and this was before heating, because when I received the oder it was cold. I have been anticipating trying Sylks food since just before the Pandemic hit; can you imagine my disappointment ?!
