The Lake Effect Inn is an amazing place. I've been here a number of times. The staff is so friendly. The new owners greeted us on our first visit. The patio has become one of my favorite places to eat and hang with friends. Chef John and his team is amazing. What he comes up with is supurb. So much better than what was there before.Their burgers are huge. The portions are generous. And the taste has me coming back for more. Highly recommended. I see nothing but good things for this place.Oh, and to that other commenter (Angie M).The Willoughby Burger is a blended burger. Meaning the beef patty has the mushroom cooked into it. They hand pack the burgers, it's not processed. It's an amazing blend of Portobello and button mushrooms. It's in the James Beard blended burger contest. And what is so wrong about having male bartenders?

Ordered the red curry, pad khing and the soft pretzels tonight. Both Thai dishes were AMAZING!! The soft pretzels were good too, but the Thai was where it's at. Super affordable also. I'll be back...probably tomorrow lol

The Asian food here is wonderful. It is my favorite Asian restaurant. Most of the dishes are not spicy which is what I prefer. Vegetables are fresh and the meat selections are great also. Prices are reasonable also.

Food was amazing. Ordered the drunken fried rice and spring rolls. You can tell every thing was made fresh and with care.

The new name of the business is Sweet Peppers Bar & Grill. They serve made to order fresh Thai food and traditional bar food. The spring rolls are crunchy. The wings are crispy. The beer is cold. Check them out to watch your favorite teams or catch up with friends and family over a great meal. Remember to ask for the tiramisu at the beginning of your order. It's like the sprinkles on top of a sundae when you were a kid....but better (if you like deserts).

I've eaten here before when you could order directly from the kitchen prior to the merger. As I came excited today with my sister, I enjoyed the friendly atmosphere of how the bartender was treating other customers and laughing. As we waited several minutes to be served I had questions as I have food allergies. "The comment of "well the cook barley speaks English so I can't guarantee that", was not well received although appreciated for my concern. But what prompted me to cancel my order and walk away was the change of attitude we received as if not welcomed. There was no smiling no laughter no joking. I more than understand being asked to provide ID but I want to feel welcomed where I choose to spend my money. I'll gladly pass the establishment by tonight and in the future based upon today's interactions. I recommend a little cultural competency training, let me know if you'd like the services, I'll send an invoice.

Stopped in on Friday night for the first time. The place is quaint and comfortable with a nice variety on the menu. The bartender (forgot her name) was the only one working and the place was full so service was a little slow. However with that being said she had a smile on the face the entire time and was pleasant despite being extremely busy - something you rarely see when a bartender is backed up. Our drinks were never empty and our dinners came out in a timely manner. Glad we stopped in and looking forward to coming back.

So over LEI. Becky, apparently of the old Becky's Bistro, which was great, has no clue what she's doing as a bartender. Does not introduce herself. Walks by empty glasses 3x until you have to ask for a refill. Only caters to her Greek crowd. Trying to push out the regulars who have been going there for 20 years. Good luck making it work without Keno, your regulars, and an arrogant, unfriendly bartender who just wants to go home. Oh, and no clue how to find the Blue Jackets game. Asked for it and got the remote thrown at me to find it myself.
