Sushi Asia Gourmet

Went here for lunch on a Sunday afternoon and had a good experience! They have a wide variety of food options...it was hard to decide on what to get. They have a whole list of vegetarian options too which I am always thrilled to see. I got the stir fried vegetables in brown sauce with a side of the spicy sauce. There was a nice variety of vegetables within the stir fry and a bowl of white rice came on the side. I would have liked the brown sauce to have more flavor personally but the vegetables within were good. The others in my party got the dinner box (lunch box is not offered on Sundays, unfortunately) and enjoyed their meals as well. Service was fast and overall friendly. Thank you, Sushi Asia Gourmet!

I was craving some authentic Sichuan and I was so surprised to find this in Akron! Cleveland has some great Sichuan places so I'm glad Akron has its own too! They have a huge menu, which could be kind of overwhelming as they serve regular American Chinese, sushi and this special Sichuan menu. We got 3 or 4 dishes for the 2 of us and had enough leftovers for 2 more meals! Portions are large, our server was so friendly and chatted with me in mandarin. I asked for a more mild spice level but nah--don't think it's in them. Our cold sesame noodles were the only non-mala hot dish so my BF ate that. The shredded chicken dish in hot chili oil tasted good but the selected pieces were too full of cartilage and not enough actual meat. The rabbit dish had too many of the numbing peppercorns and not enough meat. Would definitely come back to try more of their dishes but beware of the spice level!

Lots of authentic dishes on this menu. Lamb with peanuts, spicy tripe and tendon and my new favorite, a cold pulled chicken in chili oil and sichuan pepper. I'm not a huge fan of the sushi but that's not what I come here for. Lots of hot and numbing going on here.

I tried the eggplant in garlic sauce tonight and it was phenomenal! It's a super flavorful vegetarian dish and a great non-spicy option from the Sichuan menu. The eggplant was cooked perfectly and the sauce was rich, garlicky, and slightly sweet. I will absolutely order it again and would highly recommend it.

Still the best Chinese place to eat in the valley, Akron, Cuyahoga falls area. Food is fresh and delicious. Staff is super friendly and attentive. Would 100% recommend! Super authentic but they do have a more Americanized menu.

Very authentic to homemade traditional food! Just like how my mom cooks. I got the beef Thai red curry for lunch which came with fried rice and wonton soup! This was to go and it was packed very nicely! It was easy to grab and eat right away and there is a ton of food. I had enough for two meals! This was a good deal for the price. It was only 8.50. The restaurant is very close to where I live so it is so convenient to call in my order and they give an estimated time for you to pick up when you make your order! Also at night there is a neon light at the front and i was able to get some instagrammable photos in the light

8 yrs later, this is still my favorite restaurant in the Akron area. Food hasnt changed. On our 2nd week into our recent vacation in Ireland, the only thing I wanted to eat was Sushi Asia Gourmet's Beef with Onion and Cumin . . .

My friends and I came to eat here after hiking in Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Well worth the drive from Cleveland! They had been here before and spoke of the phenomenal and authentic Sichuan food. It's always the best when food feels like a warm hug. We ordered dan dan noodles, wontons in chili oil, spicy fish filet, lamb with cumin, and beef noodle soup. My favorite two things were the fish and lamb, for sure. Absolutely delicious and just the right amount of spicy for me without it being painful to eat. Service was great -- our food was served super fast and the staff was really sweet. Highly recommend if you are looking for great Chinese/Sichuan food. Can't speak to the rest of the menu, but maybe next time!
