Sunset Terrace at Lakeview Park

Atmosphere - Very Nice. OK, the inside is nothing special, but the terrace and the view of Lake Erie and the beach is very cool. Located in Lakeview Park, the restaurant operates by taking orders at the counter and delivering the food and drinks to you table. The inside area is pretty large with lots of four tops. The terrace is open air and has about 8 four tops. The restaurant is certainly nothing fancy, but is is nice enough.Service - Very Good. The person who took our order was pleasant and our food was delivered in a timely manner and at the appropriate temperature. Food - Very Good. The menu is limited, but most people should be able to find something to their liking. I had the BLT and is was excellent. It was served on a pretzel bun that was very fresh. There was an ample amount of bacon and the lettuce and tomato were very fresh.Overall Value - Very Good. The BLT, a turkey wrap and two bottles of ice tea came to $18, which I considered to be reasonable given the quality of food and the location.

I plan to give this delightful looking restaurant with it's gorgeous terrace view of beautiful Lake Erie one more chance! A group of my luncheon party went to enjoy something from their good looking menu one day last week. There were 8 of us, just saying. Anyway, there were no customers in the restaurant, except for us 8 ladies. There were 2 employees behind the counter that didn't greet us, welcome us or even explain to us how we had to order our food and explain that there were no servers, which was fine.... but it would have been courteous and much more professional if they had greeted us and explained how things were run in their establishment. As we sat at a table waiting for someone, we FINALLY walked up to the counter, where the 2 employees were just standing there, to ask how we got our food!! Omg! As the male employee was explaining to us that we had to order at the counter, a group of people started to trickle into the restaurant, much to our dismay, the male employee THEN informed us that the people that were trickling in had a reservation AND that they were to be served FIRST! Omg! Soooo UNPROFESSIONAL!! I asked for the manager, he said... she's in the back! Needless to say, we were VERY disgusted with the whole experience that we just left and took our money to "Papasitos Mexican Restaurant", where we were welcomed with great hospitality and kindness, along with great eats! As for Sunset Terrace View Café ..... #UnsatisfiedCustomer

We had an event at Rose Cafe on Saturday June 4. Chef Mario and staff were absolutely Amazing! !!!They were professional, courteous, attentive and the best. The facility was clean and.the food was Awesome! !!! I highly recommend.

Since we are thinking of moving to the area, we thought we would check out this place due to its fabulous location. With views of Lake Erie, you can't find a better spot in Lorain.Service was great as we sat out on the beautiful terrace.We both ordered the buffalo chicken wrap with the homemade chips. This sandwich was big enough that we should have shared. The first half (oddly for both of us) was super spicy and loaded to the gills with chicken. The second half was so much better, as the saucy wasn't oozing everywhere and there was less chicken, so you could taste some of the other ingredients. The homemade chips weren't served hot, which was disappointing. They were also much thicker than most homemade chips.The menu looked really nice, with numerous choices and decent prices. Will definitely return.

If you are looking for a great view of Lake Erie then this is the place to go. If you are looking for good cuisine you are better of spending your money elsewhere. The Rose Cafe' is catered by DeLuca's Place in the Park. Deluca's is a local venue where wedding receptions and parties are held. The food at the Rose Cafe' tastes like cheap wedding food. I would give the Rose Cafe' a try if you are just looking for a cute place to eat at along the lake. Their prices are decent and they serve sandwiches, salads, soups and basic diner-type dinners. They also offer a brunch. I'm not saying that their food is awful, but I would never come to the Rose' Cafe just because of the food. It's pretty bland and nothing specialEveryone who knows me know that I love to promote anything that has to do with Lorain so it pains me to knock anything in this city. I am willing to give The Rose Cafe another chance because I really do want to like it.

I was with a group of 18 who stopped here for lunch after a Black Rivet boat trip. I had house "Rose Cafe" salad with chicken and found it very tasty. Others had various salads and sandwiches. Everyone enjoyed the food and we found the service prompt, attentive, and fast. Hard to believe that this is the place reviewed by others. I do agree on the wonderful view of the lake

Two stars, one for the view and the other for the service. Servers were friendly and attentive. Food was barely edible. View and atmosphere is fantastic. Waste of a space and liquor license in what could be amazing.

I threw my Daughter a baby shower at this venu, they had everything set up and even let me in a little early to start setting up everything. Everything was great till the end, when I guy started cleaning up and rolling tables around while our guests were started to leave, and we were breaking everything down. at 830 the man rudely asked me to wrap it up, we paid from 4-11 !!

Fantastic service and great food! The view is absolutely breathtaking! The patio is so perfect if you have your doggies with you...yes...that's allow pets! I love this place!
