Spice Catering

We attended a fundraiser that Spice catered a few weeks ago and loved every delicious bite! The food was perfectly prepared and tasty.

Spice had a stand at a Farmer's Market in Peninsula we were at, and had chorizo breakfast burritos. The only problem is I don't like eggs. But my wife ordered one. I took a bite just to try. And then I took another bite. And another bite. And I ate half of it despite the egg. That's only happened like once before in my life. The pico, potato and cilantro all meshed so well with the egg and chorizo. It was delightful. Also, the woman working the stand couldn't have been nicer.

Wow! Over the course of the last six months we've slowly been getting the know the spice team, specifically the "spice girls" as we planned and collaborated on our california wedding. Spice had never traveled across the country to do an event but they were up for the challenge and they BLEW EVERY SINGLE PERSONS SOCKS OFF! Attention to every detail is an understatement. If you're in the market for a catering company look no further and my biggest suggestion would be to let Ben, Alex and team do what they do best, create culinary experiences. When we sat down to plan the menu I was open to changing things on the fly so we could enjoy the freshest, local ingredients which is what they did and again, WOW. Our favorite restaurant neighbors are now great friends and look forward to our next event with the whole Spice team!

Spice did an excellent job of catering and staffing our recent fundraiser, especially the bartending service they provided.

Jess from Spice was a dream come true before, at, and after our wedding. Planning an out of town wedding was challenging at every step, but she made the experience incredible! I'm late to writing this review, (our wedding was 11/14) but it's better late because I can truly say that our guests are STILL talking about how much they loved our menu!

We are so happy that we chose Spice to cater our wedding. We worked with Missy- she was helpful, easy to get a hold of, listened to what we wanted, and she had great ideas. She really knows her stuff and was able to answer all of our questions along the way. The food for our wedding was amazing- so many of our guests came up to told us that it was the best food they've ever had at a wedding. Good food was one of our priorities when we started the planning process and going with Spice was one of our best decisions. The staff was great- the food was served to the guests hot. During cocktail hour the servers did a good job making sure that everyone got a chance to try the delicious hors d'oeuvres and they even had a special platter put aside for myself and my husband so that we were sure to have some food after the family photos. The bartenders knew there stuff, and like the rest of the staff were friendly and professional. Everyone always says that no one remembers the food at weddings, but if you go with Spice- the food will be one of the highlights.

Spice catered our outdoor wedding in Ohio and did a terrific job. They were a pleasure to deal with, came up with creative and delicious menu items to match our rather unique ideas, and executed well throughout. While they are not inexpensive, we ultimately thought it was money well spent given the quality of the interaction, presentation, and food. One of the best vendors we worked with across the dozen or so in the wedding.

Our wedding would not have been the same without Jess, Liz, and the entire Spice team. We were sold from just eating the food at the restaurant, but everyone was wonderful throughout the entire process - tasting, planning, working out the final details, and the reception itself. We received numerous compliments on how delicious everything was, and how wonderful everything looked, especially the meat + cheese display. Thank you for going above and beyond anything we would have expected!

Spice Catering has consistantly provided excellent service and food. Jess coordinated our daughter's wedding 12 years ago and Kelcie coordinated our 70th birthday celebration this weekend. She's is the consummate professional; not only not loosing her cool when we shifted from 80 guests to 140 guests, but executing the changes with style, grace and efficiency. She is quick to see one's vision and is eager for the "unusual." Her team worked in rather challenging conditions and never missed a beat. All of our guests loved the food, her servers were competent and eager to please and her attention to detail (and there were oodles of details!) was fabulous. She is a delight to work with! I highly recommend Spice and Kelcie.

I used Spice Catering for a memorial dinner for 150 people and the event went beautifully and the food was wonderful. They are absolutely catering pros and I can recommend them wholeheartedly for their food, their professionalism and reasonable prices. Thank you, Elaine!
