Speed Trap Diner

Charming atmosphere that has a lot of decor. 2 burgers took an hour to get so service is not fast. The burgers were tasty and they had some unusual choices.

Hippie Chicken is spicy without burning you up and is delicious. Awesome tater tots, good fries, excellent onion rings! Get your eat on when you order a burger ! Excellent and large! Just a really cool old school diner with awesome ambiance inside, 50's style with 80's glam! Service couldn't have been better, nice, friendly staff, place was packed and got our food with in 20 minutes! Pepsi products, check times before stopping, closed at 2pm on Sunday. Highly recommend it if ever driving on historic US 20 in Woodville Ohio.

Such a cute unique place! So many different foodies I would love to try, however, it's just a stop on the way to Sandusky for us! Make sure you go in the bathroom l, wish I could see the mens! I had the cake batter chocolate fudge buttercream shake and it was pretty good. My hubby cinnibunny he would get it again, definitely different. We tied the chu somethign sandwich and it tasted a lot like a bunch of sides out together but was pretty good, you need a fork and knife to eat it.The tot kegs were different, good to try once, wish they were a little less raw inside but good still. Cheese curds were nice and airy.

The speed trap is a fantastic place to eat in any City. Woodville is very lucky to have them there. The service is excellent with a friendly staff and fast service. All the walls are done up in 50s diner car rock and roll amusement memorabilia. The place has a sense of humor and the food is out of this world. Straight off around 66 or 69. I had a interesting burger with a pulled pork on top. The sauce was very spicy and it had spicy cheese to boot. I really liked it. Others had the Disco burger and they thought it was pretty good. My dad is 95 years old and I never see him eat much. But he finished half a 1/2 lb Disco Burger, so I was happy about that. He loved the strawberry rhubarb pie, and especially the flaky crust. I'm going to guess we'll be back although I live in Florida maybe I'll have to take a trip up here just for this restaurant.

Such a fun place! Not a piece of wall that's not covered with vintage posters, bumper stickers, old vinyls, license plates. It's kitschy and funky.The food took 45 mins to come out so not a place to go if you are in a rush. But.... It was very, very good. Solid local place. The burgers are hand formed and 1/2 pound and cooked to order. We orderedGrilled cheese and tomato soup The BAM burger added friesThe Sancho's burger added fries Original burgerIf you are in the area give you them a try. There's a pretty righteous looking ice cream place attached but we were stuffed!

We decided to try this diner after driving by several times. Went in on Saturday night, restaurant was about 1/3 full. We ordered shakes and a cuban and burger no pickles. For health reason I don't eat pickles. 35 minutes went by and the sandwiches finally arrived. During the wait no one came by or checked on us. The cuban was bbq pork, not a cuban and the description did not say bbq. My burger had pickles on it . When I brought it to the waitresses attention, she asked me if I could just take them off . NO. She said she would have it made again, no apology.30 minutes later, my husband is done so we asked for the check. I told the waitress, just cancel the order. She insisted that I eat it in the car or take it home. I am not giving you a tip so I can eat alone and take it to go. I told her no thank you, I wanted to eat here with my husband.She got snotty with me and said.. If you would've been willing to wait we could've gotten that burger up to you. No apology, nothing. She brought the bill and didn't have the drinks on it so we brought it to their attention and waited for the bill to be fixed.One star because you can't give 0. But when you make someones burger wrong theirs should be the first one the cook makes since the customer had already waited for over 30 minutes. One star because as someone in the customer service industry that is expecting a tip, check in once in awhile and apologize. They were not short staffed, we saw many people working, just in case anyone thought that is the excuse.

Don't have the salads- they're disappointing and not why you're there. Fries, burgers, sandwiches, omelets, homemade soup- all tasty! Be prepared to wait- they have a small grill and usually only one person serving. The decor is fun to look at. Definitely small town charm.

Very cool decorating inside and out. Caught my eye a soon as I could see it. The service was good, looked like there was one waiter for all the tables. He got around to every table equally in a timely manner. I especially appreciated him refilling my drink even when I hadn't asked! The only negative was the wait. About a 20-30 minute wait for only two meals. Could've been worse (I've had worse) but still not the best. The candy cakes (pancakes) were WAY bigger than I had expected. I'd recommend getting only one unless your prepared. Overall good place, I'd definitely eat here again!

This is a cool touristy restaurant and it's a local favorite for the locals. I been in here twice in twelve years everything's good. Take a risk order one of their meal concoctions .
