Did not expect to find a dosa place when I moved from North Jersey to Cleveland but here we are. I've eaten here a few times and while I'm no expert on Indian cuisine, it's just as good to me as the busy, well known places I used to go back east. Dosas are a little sour with flavorful fillings, soothing sambrar soup, and fun to eat idli with dip and vegetable pancake (don't remember what it's called but my kid loved it). Plan to carry out, and order a little extra- the dosas are a bit smaller than I found in NJ but priced accordingly lower. I'm glad to have this place in my neighborhood so I can try more of their tasty Indian goodies.

Great food, nice people. Couldn't ask for more! Fills the craving, esp when you're looking for something homemade.

A small takeout place, but with a table or two if you want to eat in. I walked in to order, instead of calling ahead. I knew it could take some time, but I didn't mind. As soon as I walked in, the owner (the same guy everyone else mentions) greeted me and starting telling me the specials of the day. He seemed surprised when I ordered as if he didn't think I knew much about Indian food, but in a good way. I placed my order (Paddu, filter coffee, and a late addition of rasam and rice) and talked with the owner a little. He is super friendly and told me about his love of fresh, natural, and organic ingredients. He really seems to care about his food and his customers, which is sadly not the case for every restaurant. My filter coffee came out first, so I sipped on it while I waited (owner recommended i drink it there instead of taking it to go, which was a good idea since it was so frothy). As I waited I took a look at the snacks they have available and bought a bag of chewda (that's the name I've seen at indian stores, but I think it has others names as well). The food did take a while to come out, but I didn't mind. I would recommend calling ahead if you are in a hurry. The paddu is delicious, I've never had them before but the best comparison would be a dumpling made of dosa/idli batter with onions and green chili inside, served with coconut chutney. I'm saving the rasam and rice for later but I did try the rasam and it has a nice tangy kick to it, just what I was expecting. I'm not sure what the normal portion size is, but he gave me a whole quart and said it was being made while I waited. I will definitely return, as there are many things on the menu I want to try. The prices are fair, the food is great, and the owners are friendly. What more could you ask for?

Oh my God the food was nasty. I could not believe the color of my vada. I thought ok the color is fine at least the taste might be there I was wrong. It tasted nothing like vada. Then idli it tasted bad. Sambar nope even that was bad. The chutney was runny. I could not eat it. The food was that bad. Thank God I did not order masala dosa which is my favorite.

Having just moved right down the street and wanting to try something new, I went to South Indian cuisine. The store is quaint with a single table and when I was there, there were four gentlemen having meal. The owner advised that everything is vegetarian and he suggested that I try a curry and rice dish. I chose to have the curry okra and white rice. I also chose to try a masala dosa (this rice and lentil crepe filled with potatoes and onions) and Vada Sambar (fried dough with aromatic herbs and spices). Now when there The smells were enticing but the "bing" of a microwave let me know that things were being reheated for my order. I paid for my order when it was complete and went home.First, let me just say that I hate indian cuisine that is not authentic. This WAS authentic! The curry okra was delicious and had some kick in the spice area. The masala dosa was good but would have been much better if the crepe was cooked to order instead or being reheated. The potato filling was so good! The food was good and I may entertain going back on a busy night when I could get the food fresh to order.

The food was a hit or miss. Some items are good like vada, puliyogare. Sambhar(main vegetarian protein) was the worst, very watery with no dals or many vegetables. Food was served in disposable plates, aluminum foil containers which was very pathetic. It is actually a take out place not a dine in. So don't expect any ambiance. Portion size is very less for the price.
