Well I'll start this review by saying I've ate here for years before the new owners bought it and it has always been great the food the service, everything was always good. Since the new owners bought it I've had it twice through pickup not dine in, the first time i ordered a large 16" pizza and it tasted good but wasn't well done how I asked for. This time today I asked for a large pepperoni pizza well done and received a medium pepperoni pizza well done but didn't realize the size difference until I got home. The pizza was good but I'm not going to be ripped off and pay $16 for a medium pizza especially when online it says a large pizza is $12 but the website doesn't let you order it and when you call in it ends up being $15 and change. 6.5/10 ok food but not sure on the service anymore

Smiley's is not closed because I ate there Sunday April 7 on a road trip to Cleveland. It's what you would expect from a somewhat divy disorganized hole-in-the-wall red sauce place. The waitress was spacey and we had to tell her things multiple times. She forgot to bring the wonderful rolls with REAL BUTTER. I think she was really tired because the staff was so busy. I had the Tiger Salad with the wonderful house dressing. My other half had pasta primavera and was very pleased. Servings were generous. We ordered a slice of pepperoni pizza just to try it and I was disappointed that it was over cooked to the point the crust was cracker like and the cheese was brown. I imagine the pizza is better if you order a whole pizza. I may never be in Massillon Oh again in my life, but if I am, I will eat at Smiley's.

Value - where else can you go today and receive what you rewarded with at Smiley's? Servings are large enough that take out boxes are a norm. And another example, $1.00 to add French Fries to a sandwich plate that is already a great value. You can't beat it. Service is and attention is always a focal point by the staff. How is everything? Can I get you anything? They make you feel like coming back because they are simply happy that you chose to be served by them. etc etc. Is the place especially fancy or high class? In my opinion, it doesn't have to be something special when you deliver on the other important matters of running a restaurant well, which are: it's clean, has good food and you are appreciated by the staff and management.

This was a great find in the heart of Massillon. Their pizza is very similar to what I remember growing up in New Jersey. Staff is super friendly and the price is great. They are not on any delivery apps but they do deliver themselves if you call. Which is an advantage as you don't have the added expense of the delivery app fees. They got a pizza and chicken to our house in under 45 minutes on a busy Friday night and we live all the way up near the Jackson HS, plus it was in the middle of a global Pandemic when everybody else is ordering take out as well. I was quite impressed. We will definitely be ordering again and recommend everyone else does as well....Thanks Smily's

Not from the area, came in for Massillon football, and glad I did. Absolutely amazing restaurant from the moment we arrived. You can smell the food when you walk in the door and walk by the counter full of pizzas to be seated. It's a family business and they are extremely attentive. The rolls they bring to your table are brushed with butter & garlic. The pizza crust is crunchy on the outside and buttery on the inside. Everything was delicious and they make sure you know you are their #1 priority from the minute you arrive. This restaurant has become a staple of the community for such a long time, and while there, we discovered they will be closing Oct 1. So sad to see such an awesome family restaurant close its doors, but the owner is in his 70s, and has been looking for a buyer, just none have emerged. Wish them the best of luck and truly Thank them for the delicious meal and warm reception!

Love this place, old fashioned good Italian food. Hole in the wall and friendly. Just enjoy the food and the people, great for families it won't break the purse. I have trouble walking past the pizza on the way in, but then they give me a menu and the decision gets harder. Spaghetti and sauce is the best and can't go wrong.
