Was here for the Kurentovanje festival. Lots of rooms in this place including a nice "ball room" with stage for bands. A full service bar in the basement along with bocce ball courts. I had fun here!

Came here with a large contingent for a recent Friday Night fish fry...and it did not disappoint! What a fun, lively space with live music, flowing taps at the bar and huge plates of seafood, sides and all the fixings.I ordered a Pan beer and a combo platter of fried fish and shrimp. The meal came with a cup of creamy clam chowder, a vinegary cole slaw, fries (or home fries), two fish fillets, three shrimp and a slice of cake for dessert.Even though the place was packed and cramped, the atmosphere was alive and energetic. Everyone seems to enjoy their meals and a good time was had by all. Will most definitely be back!

I've been here twice in the last month, once for Kurentovanje festival which was super fun and lively, then again for a Friday fish fry that was crowded and had great service and energy. There is a lot of space for activities and both events had live music and a fun vibe.

Only been to the basement for Bocce but it's great. Didn't know this place existed till I joined this league. Glad I know now. From the tips, seems like a good place for fish frys.

Cleveland strikes again with another hidden cultural gem! The Slovenian National Home is the home base for the marvelous Cleveland Kurentovanje Festival. Kurentovanje is a Mardi Gras type festival, celebrating the end of winter and the beginning of spring. There's no denying that the CLE can be a bleak place in February, so the tradition of "scaring away" winter to usher in spring is a perfect fit for Slovenians and Clevelanders alike.I've had an excellent time attending this festival the past few years. Once the parade concludes, everyone packs into the National Home to enjoy pivo (beer), pierogi, Slovenian sausage, krofi (donuts), and more while dancing to live polka music. If you're visiting, make sure to stop into the Slovenian Museum & Archives next door. The National Home hosts events all throughout the year. I can't wait to try out their fish fry this Lent!
