I wanted to try it...it wasn't amazing but it wasn't terrible. Service was nice and fast. Place was clean. The strawberry cheesecake in the glass jar was different (and good). The chicken and presentation is all very similar to Zaxbys and Canes. Just a different spin. I'll eat here again to try the chicken and waffles. Chicken was not quite as good as Canes or Chik Fil A, but still good. Check it out at least once. Really I'd give 3.5 stars if I could.

We stopped in there for dinner. I went to the restroom the toilet won't flush.My wife ordered the girl followed my wife to the table with our food . Not made fresh . I got the bacon club sandwich. I took the bun off a sliver of bacon was on there.($2.00 extra) I took it up front showed it to the girl she agreed it was ridiculous. She took it to the kitchen I waited she came back with a different sandwich. I got to my table it had one extra sliver , no sauce and was ice cold. The GM was on break the girl told her I had a complaint she came over and said what do you want more bacon???I said I don't want anything I won't be back.She said that's not what she wants ,she said I'm going to find out what was going on I'll be back.15 minutes went by we went to leave I stopped and asked for her card . Another 8 minutes went by I started to leave another employee brought the card . We have been there several times and like the food usually. There are so many chicken places in Canton. Not a good way to be a GM.

Was excited to try this place for the first time. I wasn't disappointed at all. I ordered the chick plate. 3 good tenders, fries and garlic toast. Not bad. Decent. Kinda of like a Canes with much more options Spicy BBQ sauce and cayenne ranch sauce was spectacular Peach tea and raspberry lemonade is very good. Chocolate chip brownie was average. Will come again Deficiency again.

Here's my general rule of thumb: if you plan on opening a restaurant in an overly saturated genre; you better offer something either phenomenal tasting, or uniquely your own. Slim Chicken's, unfortunately, doesn't offer either. Another entry into the chicken finger market, Slim Chicken's is basically Raising Cane's with a different front facade and logo. That's honestly all you need to know. However, if you want a deeper dive, here you go:THE GOOD: The *chicken fingers* were the best part of the meal. Similar to Cane's in size and meatiness, and I'd wager to say even a little better breading and crunch. They came out hot, juicy, and delicious. With the four-piece, you get one *sauce*. I wanted to try a few others, so I spent 39¢ each to get two more. I had the honey mustard, sweet red chili, and spicy BBQ. All the sauces were good, and appeared to be made in house. This was where the good experiences basically ended. THE BAD: The *fries* definitely left something to be desired. They were lukewarm, not seasoned at all, and small. There were also a lot of fragments and crumb pieces. On top of that, you didn't really get all that many for paying a premium price. Dipping in the sauces made them a bit more tolerable, but they certainly didn't stand on their own. The *sweet tea* was also kind of just ok. It was a little weak, which is kind of normal for Ohio, but I had high hopes regardless. I ended up switching to a Diet Coke after drinking about half my sweet tea. THE UGLY: Their *toast*. I'm really, really hoping this was just a bad batch, and not their normal. It was a single piece of extremely thin Texas toast, cut into triangles. They were sandpaper dry, burnt, and the one piece had about a third of it missing. With Cane's having absolutely delicious toast, this might be the thing that sinks Slim's. OVERALL IMPRESSION: It was extremely *meh*. For $12+, I was definitely hoping for more. The chicken was pretty good, and everything else was pretty bad. I have zero desire to want to go back and give them another chance. I may try again at some point after a few months, seeing as they are still extremely new. Unfortunately I don't think this is one of those "let them iron the kinks out" situations. I think Slim's is just a mid restaurant.

Now that this restaurant has been officially established and open for some time, I will give my honest review of it.Overall Rating: 1 out of 5Recommendation: Plenty of better options around the area than here.Food:The food is fine, but is not anything that stands out from its competition. Tenders are extremely salty, but otherwise sizeable (similar to Cane's if you dumped a can of salt on them). The fries are just middle of the ground. Nothing too special. The "toast" is a joke. Just soggy bread that tastes like it was vaguely in the same room as garlic. They have a bunch of different sauces, but I cannot comment on this as the one time Ive actually been able to get food, they forgot the sauce. I was going to try their sandwich today, but we will get to why that didnt happen. Service:Before I get into this, THE STAFF IS VERY FRIENDLY. Or at least the drive thru people always have been. What sucks is the speed. We dont have time to wait 40 minutes for chicken tenders. At that point Ill just get my own bag of Tyson tenders and make them myself (and at least Ill get sauce that way too). So I suspect this is a matter of management or an issue with the process on how Slims prepares its food that creates the large wait time. It is one thing if the order is complicated, it is another thing to take that long on a simple 5 piece tender meal with no modifications.I have went here 3 times and only been able to get food once. This is mostly to do with the insane wait times (Im usually getting food on my break from work so I dont have time to wait that long for food) and once because of misleading hour postings (may potentially be a legitimate reason). In fact, I had the exact same issue just now, hense why Im writing a follow up review 2 or so months later. Slim Chicken, y'all have too much competition to be playing these games. Either get better or go out of business.

We tried this around 4:30p to beat the rush, as they haven't been open yet long. The wait was minimal, and the service was friendly. You could tell they were still getting their bearings, but there were no issues. The fried pickles and Mushrooms were disappointing. The wings were ok, not great. The tenders and the Cajun Ranch Chicken Sandwich were very good. The sweet tea was good. The dining room is typical but nice and clean. Although chilly inside that day. The prices are high even when considering recent increases everywhere else. We'd eat there again out of convenience but it won't be on any regular rotation.

We were loyal Slim chickens fans-- easy and quick stop for delicious food on the way home from church every Sunday. Unfortunately, the past couple of weeks, the Canton, Ohio location has seriously gone downhill. First, two weeks ago, while eating his chicken club sandwich, my husband made a funny face and spit something out. Turns out it was a piece of paper/ food wrapping in his sandwich. Gross!Final straw might have been yesterday; my husband placed an order in the drive-thru and was asked to pull ahead to wait on food. After 25 minutes, no one was in sight. he went in and reported the issue and the staff said they forgot, and did not offer him as much as an apology for the incident. It truly is so unfortunate that these two experiences might prevent us from ever returning to this establishment.With that being said, their chicken and waffles were my absolute favorite! :( bums me out thinking I may never get them again.
