Skyway Drive-In Restaurant

Great experience! Burgers and fish sandwiches were very tasty, and the bun was really soft and perfect. Shake and California were also tasty. Really fun experience and service was fast, friendly, and excellent!

It's a drive in that's been In Akron since I can remember. I finally stopped and tried it.I got the signature burger, the Sky high with fries. Reminded me of a Big Mac. Fries were good and the combo was under$10.Not bad.Service was fast.

I no longer live in the Akron area, but whenever I return I HAVE to go to Skyway. That was one of my favorite HS hangouts. Very respectable drive in food and it's a real drive in. In season. Heck, I'd recommend it if only for the sauerkraut balls. But everything is good.

My family and I went here for our first time this past weekend while adventuring our way around Cuyahoga. We liked our visit here much better than our visits to Swenson's in the past. We will be going here instead when we have a burger craving while out that way!Better service, and the food quality was better, as well. Also loved their attention to the kids in the family with regards to the kids meals.We had the '52 combo, the sky-hi combo, and a bunch of the kids meals. All were great!

No wonder no one goes here service was trash my burger was burnt my lemonade taste like there was soap in it. And on top of that the lemonade taste like they poured lemonade Gatorade power in it. What an experience and it wasn't a good one

I've been driving by this place for a couple years. I had to do a double take the first time I saw it. I was like, "Is that a 50's style drive-in restaurant?" And then I was like, "Hell yeah, that's a 50's style drive-in restaurant!" I took the day off today to get some Christmas shopping done. Since it was 71 degrees and sunny instead of 31 degrees and raining, I decided to stop. After reviewing the menu and yelp, it became evident that I needed to order The '52 Combo, which includes a Sky-Hi burger, onion rings, and a milkshake. I asked the waiter which milkshake he recommended and he suggested the Rootbeer flavor. So that's what I went with. A few minutes later, my food was served piping hot. I let it cool off for a minute while I snapped some photos.I started with the milkshake, which was delicious. It was so smooth that the thin straw worked just fine. Then I went for a bite of the burger, which was unique and unlike any burger I've ever had, but in a great way. The pickles and sauce really made this burger delicious. The grilled bun was excellent. The onion rings were very hot and tasty. What an excellent lunch.This place can compete with Swenson's any day.

Love Skyway,for their everything! Long years of doing the drive in burgers on Market St. If you are a true burger fan you have cravings! Skyway best ,steak sandwiches with grilled onions, onion rings, Deluxe cheeseburgers and Californians!!! See you soon!

Wow what a disappointment. Came in today and found out they were out of potato teasers. Fine - a let down, but fine. Ordered onion rings instead.The bun on my SkyHi was burned in multiple places which made the thing taste like charcoal. The patties were overcooked and tough. The onion rings were either old or overcooked, because they were rock hard and basically inedible.Skyway is a fairly long drive for me - I only go here a few times a year when I want drive in food that isn't the crud that Swensons has started churning out. This was a waste of gas and money.

Are they still open? It was closed in the middle of the day. I don't see cars there anymore.

Old school window service while in your vehicle...just awesome...I ate there almost 20 years ago and ate again recently...nothing has changed...Kinda cool.
