Shirley's Twin Kiss

What a local icon! Always a fair price, the kind of food you would expect. Large menu! Shirley's also goes WAY above and beyond at supporting local sports teams, Easter hunts, etc. Don't miss this true little gem on Route 19 in Hadley PA when passing by! Friendly staff too!! You won't regret it.

I was riding along Rt. 19, feeling hungry, and I see Shirley's retro-looking sign coming up on my left, so I pull in, not knowing what to expect. I glanced at the menu, and I got excited, because I see "Clam Dinner" listed. Clam dinners are hard to find anymore it seems. Even Long John Silvers discontinued clams. I am not much of a seafood eater, but I do have a soft spot for deep fried, breaded clams, so I order the dinner, which comes with fries, cole slaw, and a buttered roll (not margarine, thankfully). They also asked if I wanted Tartar sauce, and I said yes. Now I don't know, if it was because I was really hungry, but this was one of the best clam dinners I have ever had in recent years. The fries, slaw, and roll, and especially the clams (with just a little tartar) . . . YUMM! If I ever find myself back in this area again when I am hungry, I will be sure to stop back again . . . Corona19 safety measures are in effect . . . 6 foot spacing marks on ground, must wear masks, hand sanitizer offered at ordering window, extra clean, etc., so I was very pleased to see that Shirley was taking this virus seriously . . . BIG CHEERS!!!

Growing up this was the place mom took us to get a treat ! I absolutely love this place and the workers here !!

Seasonal, maybe, but not closed. Stopped for a small cone which turned out to be large enough for a small family. Very tasty soft serve. Much more dinner options than I expected so I'm looking forward to stopping again. What impressed me the most were the employees. I've stopped at many roadside stands but these young ladies are the best. Nicely dressed, friendly, efficient. I watched them clean when they weren't waiting on someone. Very impressed. There are are many restaurants in the area understaffed and begging for people who want to work. Shirley's is doing something very right.

The great things about this place are too many to list. If treats are what you desire .....go there! However, the best part about this little place is the service....especially RA. :). May I recommend the Arctic Swirls! If they still have the Take 5 choice....eat it up!!!!!!

SO GOOD I LOVE IT! For being a new ice cream shop it's so tasty and delicious I would rate the service a ten. The tables were wiped down it was really good.

Shirley's has so much food and it is all cooked wonderfully and the ice cream is very well-made

This is such a great little food spot and pure nostalgia for me. I have gone to this place since the 80s and to this day, I am amazed at the variety of food they turn out of that tiny kitchen! Stop by and you will be amazed by the number of vehicles pulling up to pick up bags of food they must have called in to order. This little place does some serious business for a small town. Whether you want a burger & fries, ice cream or even a salad . . . you won't be disappointed. We may not be talking fine dining here, but they do cook your food to order and it always hits the spot.
