Sherman Provisions

I've been here only once and that was years ago but I remember getting their bologna and it had a sweet taste to it and service was great and they were really nice to talk to.

I have been coming here for several months now, and these are some of the most down to earth folks with quality products you can imagine, great food done local. We've done pork shoulder, chicken, brisket, ribs and it always gets rave reviews. These guys and gals are super friendly and knowledgeable, don't be afraid to tell them you're starting to smoke meat but need some help! Top notch knowledge and staff. Also hidden to die for items; chocolate milk and the little folded half pies right by the door. We do those for dessert at parties and they have never missed once.

Sherman Provisions is one of the best gems here in Norton Ohio. Just a short drive from Akron, Fairlawn and Copley. I would encourage anyone who longs for a more personal hands on butcher and a more healthy alternative to grocery store meats to try out Sherman Provision. The service is beyond fabulous, you will be treated like royalty, the meat that you choose will be expertly and carefully cut to your specifications. I recommend everything - save yourself a trip to the West Side Market in Cleveland, we have our own right in our own back yard. Besides meat there is a variety of other groceries, old world and such. You won't find another butcher this good in the area. Parking is no problem - right to the door. Ask for Mauri she has great tips and recipes. The website is wonderful and it reads like a novel. If you haven't mastered a rib roast or a whole tenderloin - Mauri will walk you through the entire process beginning to end. Website is extremely helpful, educational and beautifully written.

I called Mauri at Sherman Provisions after doing some online research and trying to find someone to do a pig roast for my father's birthday party. He is very ill and we were nervous this may be his last birthday to spend with us, so we wanted to do it right. It was all very last minute though so I wasn't sure I would be able to find anyone to help on the budget I had. Not only was she just plain SUPER nice, Mauri could not have been more understanding of our budget and our needs. She told me she would find a way to make the pig roast and everything happen for me in the budget I provided and that she did! She was prompt in getting right back to me with a solution which included a lovely man and woman and the party was a huge success. My family had wonderful food (highly recommend that macaroni & cheese and potato salad!) and amazing memories. It wouldn't have happened without Mauri's "can do" attitude and incredibly kind heart. You can tell when someone is a good person when they call just to ask how your father is doing without any other reason for calling. Thanks Mauri! We will definitely be using your business again for our next family function that needs provisions. You are as good as it gets when it comes to customer service and kindness!

Great place. Lots of special cuts of meats that you can't find at your local grocery store. If you want something special, they will cut it for you. The staff is super helpful. If you want quality stop in! My first time stopping in was today and I'll be back. If you BBQ they have Great selection of Pork, Beef, and Chicken.
