I wrote to help the Yelp community understand that this place was closed and Yelp continues to ask me to review the place. Ok. If that's what you want. I loved the place. The sealed door and papered over windows were a unique approach to design. The smell of a closed building waifs as you near the spot. The ambiance of foreclosure is a definite draw. If you plan to go, please insure it was at least a year ago or you'll be sadly disappointed!

Great new spot here in Lyndhurst in a busy plaza! Plenty of delicious options, I of course tried the falafel.Only one man was working at the time but the restaurants isn't bustling with business just yet. Our lunch was made quickly and everything tasted super fresh and well-seasoned. Very excited to have a simple middle eastern cafe right around the corner! We took ours to go but there is a sensible seating area - nothing crazy though.

It actually pains me to write this review because I wanted a badly to give it 5 stars. I LOVE shwarma and I really love family-run businesses. I was impressed by the service, how fast my food was made, and was all ready to give it 5 stars... until I took my food home and ate it.I ordered a build-your-own bowl with chicken, fries, tabulloue, and garlic sauce on the side. It cost me $13.99. You don't get a lot in the build your own bowl which is good for portion control, but you definitely don't get enough to share. I used to buy lots of juicy chicken shwarma when I lived in Greece for 2 Euro a pop. This chicken was dry and unseasoned. I had to use my own za'atar seasoning. The fries were basic and clearly heated from frozen. Sadly, the tabulloue was dry and lacking liquid. I also traveled to Israel for many summers and would eat tabulloue by the bucketful! I know it is supposed to pretty wet. Lastly, I had to throw away the garlic sauce, it was gross. I ended up using my own mustard. As a calorie counter, I always get my sauce on the side. This was both a good and bad idea here. The garlic sauce was so gross, I'm glad it wasn't drizzled all over my food. The bad part of having sauce on the side was that, a good sauce, like the tahini or yogurt sauces, definitely would have made my meal a 1000 times less dry if it was drizzled all over my food. My helpful tip of the day is to ask to try their sauces before choosing one.Like I said in the beginning, I hate giving new, family-run businesses anything less than 4 stars but I have to here. Maybe everything was off due to the time of the day I went. I went at around 4:30 pm, which is a weird time to get food for sure. I'd like to come back and reassess one day. Maybe get a beef bowl with tahini and seasoned fries? That sounds great!

I was excited to see a shawarma restaurant so we decided to drop in for lunch. I got a bowl with beef, basmati rice, hummus and tahini sauce. The beef was a little on the dry side but tender and tasty. The hummus was not the best I've had but was ok. Service was quick and the bowls were made to order. I think the size of the entry should be bigger given the price. Place was clean and the service was friendly and helpful.

Ambiance: This is a take out spot only. There are cushy benches and chairs along the wall to wait for your food as well as a table just in front of the order counter if you need some desk space. They have a TV but it's mainly a music channel. The staff are friendly however and while I was there they were very reasonable working with someone who was having problems with their online order. Food: I must've come on an off night because my food was nothing like the other reviews. I got the chicken and beef schwarma plates with fries and fattoush salad as the sides. You can see on my pictures the beef was extremely dry and looked like jerky. The chicken was a little better but looked and tasted like plain meat seared on a flat top, I couldn't see any evidence of herbs or seasoning on it. You really had to slather on the yogurt and garlic sauces to make it edible which was a shame. On the bright side the fries were still crispy despite a 10 minute drive home and the fattoush tasted fresh. At about $35 for two entrees, I couldn't say it was a good deal since you can find better dine-in meals for the same price. Overall I was pretty disappointed and don't plan on coming back.

Family owned small business with great food in a nice central location in Lyndhurst. Shawrma's Bros is next door to Scalpers/Sharpy's. On a recent visit me and my husband tried their Beef Pita Wrap and Build Your Own Bowl. My pita wrap was tasty, came with veggies and was very filling. I also ordered a side of seasoned fries and they were really good also. The space is small, has seating and the service was really great!

Great food and good portion size for price. Got the beef plate with rice and fries but my guy hooked it up with the hummus to try too. The sauces are homemade you need to try them all. Definitely will be back

The schwarma is legit. Nice flavor. You can taste the cinnamon. The Tahini and garlic sauce are pretty good as well. Feedback for the owners: the fries were crunchy but cold when they were served. Fries go bad after about 5 minutes on a counter with no warming light.

Either I went on an off day or these reviews are not real because what I tried was dry small portion and yes, the customer service was great. Maybe I'm missing something. I might have to try it one more time but the first time I've been here I don't understand it wasn't that good
