Shaker's is a great community grocery store. They try to stock food and other items people like and have everything you'd need in a grocery store. The prices are higher than larger chains, but comparable with any other local grocery store. The produce is hit or miss- but they generally have everything you need. They have a bakery and hot food. However, I've found the hot food to be hit or miss. The fried chicken is pretty good, but we typically look elsewhere if looking for hot food for dinner. The service is good- local people serving the community.

An update to my previous review. Shakers has really gone down hill since my last review. The store has so many empty spots and wouldn't you know it, the items I came in for should be where those empty spots are. The meat department which has always been their strong point is a shadow of what it used to be. Meat department is so poorly stocked that I have left the store without buying anything else because of so many empty spots in the meat case. I can't afford to waste a trip to the store just to buy some of the items on my list. I have shopped at Shakers for decades and it's time for me to shop elsewhere.

Shaker's grocery store is quaint and like taking a step back in time. It is a hometown, locally family operated and run grocery store. Their prices are more than big box retailers, but they often have sales so look out for those. They don't have s D much of a variety when it comes to low-fat products. They help you to your car with groceries and you are not supposed to tip. They also have someone who grilles on summer weekends and the food is awesome.

Not the freshest produce or meat selection. I've actually bought fruit or vegetables with mold. The people are friendly enough and they have bag boys that take your groceries to your car.Other stocked items are adequate and the dairy section is pretty stocked of organic choices. If they can work on their meat and produce section it would be a pretty dependable grocery store. Until then, I recommend it for necessities and short needs only.

It's the closest supermarket to me the only problem i have with this supermarket is that it's overpriced but the staff is very nice and efficient and it's well organized and easy to find what you need.

If you want fresh produce, don't shop at Shaker. I've seen bad food left on the shelves multiple times. The lack of available good produce is what prevents me from shopping at Shaker's more often. The bakery is good. The deli has less options now than they did in the past. It's OK but largely disappointing. The butcher is good. I wish they had more seafood options though.Beer and wine selection is good.

It times of COVID19 I expect retail operators, especially grocery stores to be attentive to the health and safety of customers. This is a small store with little ability to remain 6 feet apart in aisles. Yet there are customers wandering with facemasks around their necks; repairmen (3 today) with no mask at all, doing work inconspicuous area requiring close contact. In spite of the convenience for quick trips, I won't be back.

No employees wear masks there, I wore one in because I had, had contact with someone who had covid, as i left, a young female employee was coming in with carts, as she got to the second exit door where i was standing, she started doing a forced cough and using her forearm to cover her face, i hope she got her amusement, but I will never know, because i will not be back ,,,ever

This place is disgusting. The few name brand items they carry are over-priced compared to an actual grocery store. Their in-store made food is inedible, Well, in fairness I've never tried it so it may edible if you have no standards for your food, or like eating trash. But chicken salad should never be brown, and I'm pretty sure something made "fresh" isn't fresh one week later. It all looks like food served in a private prison. When you first walk in, it smells like raw sewage, I asked one of the employees about it and they told me they didn't smell anything out of the ordinary. That means this place always smells like sewage and the employees are just used to it. This store might have been great back in the day, but it's horrible now. I wish they would just close this place and put in a Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, or even a Giant Eagle, The only nice thing I can say about Shaker's is that they have a decent beer selection, this make sense because you would need to be drunk to continue shopping here. It's an insult to the people of Olmsted Falls and Olmsted Township to keep this store open and classified as a grocery store. You would have more luck buying your food at the CVS across the street, they will have a better selection of edible food and better prices. Please don't bother with this place, drive the ten minutes to North Olmsted, Berea, North Ridgeville, or Avon. Or find a local dumpster, they will have about the same quality, but you wont have to pay outrageous prices for it.

Looks like we lost our favorite local "Family Market" when Moody's sold last month. Get this: No Rye bread five days in a row. Dont carry gift cards anymore. No more Plain Dealer for sale either! Plus have replaced many name brand items like Smart Balance cooking oil for their own label product. Now homemade soups are now $4.95 for a small carton. Such a wow! Guess we will be traveling further to Giant Eagle. We miss you Phil!
