These are the teeny tiny clams. They were about 10 in total and they call this a 1/2 pound on their menu. It's no wonder we left hungry.

Okay when in Cleveland/Strongsville area where should go to eat? Breweries etc well we found a place that was even better. Seafood Shake and Boil is a hidden gem. Jenissa, our server was fantastic and even more, her prompt service and smile got us in before Happy Hour ended. The whole time we were treated with her kindness and care. Her number one motto is keep your smile and leave with a smile.

Holy moly what a joint! Came in on a Friday night. Was enthusiastically met at the door and seated at a table. Waitress, who turned out to be as nice as could be, came to explain the menu and take our drink order. We ordered Combo E, with king crab, scallops, shrimp and sausage in their 'medium spiced' house sauce. The sauce was great, but not spiced much at all. The king crab was nicely sliced on one side so you could get to the crab meat without puncturing an artery pulling it apart. Shrimp and scallops were shrimp and scallops. Surpsingly, the beef sausage was really good. They give you bibs, and you need it!The menu has colored pictures of the cocktails that look like they clipped them off the Internet. No way could they make a drink look as good as the picture, but they did. Ordered the Mexico Street and it could have been the poster child for the menu! Wife got a frozen strawberry pineapple lemonade that was also picture perfect and tasty as heck. But if good wasn't good enough, our server talked us into trying their homemade desert. Had a slice of tiramusu that was worth coming in for all on its own. Can't wait for the boy to come home for a weekend so we can go hog wild on this place!

I read all the Yelp reviews, and Seafood Shake has been open now for a little while, so I thought it might be a good time to check it out. I was pleasantly surprised. It's very clean inside, the decor is very nicely done. Kitschy with seafood memorabilia adorning the walls, but also tasteful at the same time. We were greeted and immediately seated and our server promptly arrived table side with a smile and two glasses of water with lemon wedges. She gave us a few minutes to look at the menu and offered to answer any questions that we might have. The concept is that of a Louisiana/Cajun seafood boil. They offer various combinations of shellfish accompanied by corn on the cob and red potatoes. We ordered the Seafood Shake Classic Combo ($38.00). It came with two pieces of corn, two red potatoes, 1/2# sausage, 1/2# of shrimp, and 1/2# snow crab legs. I have to say, it was absolutely delicious and more than enough food for the 2 of us. We also ordered the clam chowder and lobster bisque to start. Both were also very good. The menu offers a number of Asian food as well. For example, lychee shrimp balls, egg rolls, fried pork dumplings, Ramen noodles and other noodle soups... if they are anything like their Seafood Shake bags it might be my new place for Asian food as well! I really hope this place takes off. I don't frequent these "family" restaurants very often, but I would strongly encourage you to try it out. They do a really nice job. I could even see ordering take out from them. A Seafood Shake Bag would be great for a football party, and offer something different than the age-old pizza idea.

5-stars for the food. I'd never base an entire opinion the size of my clams - I'm not a big fan of clams anyway. so, i don't care if my clams were a little small. what i did care about is the number of non-open clams in my bag. though, I mentioned it to my server and she and the kitchen made it correct right away - with a new plate of clams. It happens, no big whoop. Other than that, the food was delicious. I had the Seafood Shake Classic w/ House Sauce (medium). I'm not sure what's in that sauce (maybe a sausage of some sort and peppers) but it was very tasty. Danielle had 1 pound of snow crab legs in the Shake Sauce and said it was good. It was my mother-in-law's birthday and she also had the Seafood Shake Classic (hers with Shake Sauce) and she said that she really enjoyed her dinner as well. One stand-out, though, was the calamari. It was perfectly, crispy-fried w/ a delicious dipping sauce. Everyone loved it. My extended family members in attendance all seemed to enjoy as well. I wouldn't mind going back, at all.

We got the Cream Brule and White peach tea and those were really good. Then we got the make your own combos with crab, shrimp, and mussels. They only had black mussels but we liked those more anyway. The food was great and came out quick. We will be going back!

I'm a vegetarian so they accommodated me with a meatless pasta dish that tasted like LoMein with a $14.95 price. Portion wasn't very big. It tasted okay. The veggie spring rolls had a weird, mushy filling. My friend's lobster tail was very dry and smelled extra fishy.

Avoid this restaurant and save your hard earned money. I brought my wife here for her birthday because we've been to similar restaurants and really enjoyed them. We really wanted to like this one because it's close to home, but In this case, the Strongsville location is absolutely terrible... which also explains why it was almost completely empty on a Friday night at 7pm. The seafood was really over cooked, rubbery and the portions were tiny, but our bill total wasn't at close to $150. We both really love seafood, but sadly both of us left the restaurant hungry due to the portion size, which is really sad considering we each ordered a $40 meal + an app to share. We asked to speak with a manager and very politely explained our disappointment, but she came to our table, spoke very broken english and said "seafood is very expensive right now", which also explains why the prices on their menu were scribbled out and rewritten in permanent marker or plastered over with a label printer at a new restaurant. Please understand, we weren't looking for a free meal, just a good experience and we hoped that they might do something to make my wife's birthday dinner right. She refused to do anything, not even comp a dessert or something for my wife, or a 10% discount or even a small discount on a next meal to get us to come back. She simply reminded me that "seafood is very expensive right now", as if that were justification for using teeny, tiny clams, shrimp and tiny little overcooked snow crab clusters. Not even an apology. Take a look at the size of the clams next to this normal size lemon wedge in the photo. There are actually 2 there and of the 10 total quarter sized clam shells with the dime sized meat inside, it doesn't come close to the 1/2 pound it claims you get on the menu. Our waiter on the other hand was great and tipped very well for his service. He clearly he felt bad, but there was nothing he could do with the poorly run restaurant and terrible management/customer service except to feel bad. We certainly won't be back and I would be surprised if they last more than a few months with customer service like that.

Originally thought is was a classic seafood, New England seafood "boil" type of place. I shouldn't have made that assumption! Instead, it's a unique blend of traditional seafood dishes and Asian seafood fusion offerings. Prices are hefty for the traditional offerings, so I decided on a seafood ramen dish. It had four decent size shrimp but also imitation crab; also a few baby clams and some type of "dumpling" stuffed with I don't know what. To be fair, I should've asked the waiter, but I didn't want to embarrass our guests in the process. My husband had a similar dish. We both agreed, we've had far better elsewhere. The waiter was wonderful. No complaints with service.
