Scooter's World Famous Dawg House

One of my favorite places for an afternoon meal, hotdogs with all the fixings that you can imagine, great food, never had anything else but they have burgers and all the fries to share. Shoestring fries. You enter to a standing room with a bench and stools along the back wall, most everyone opts to eat outside. Friendly staff.

So many choices! They make their own dogs! I'm not a hot dog person but these are delicious. The fries are hugely portioned, hand cut. Prices are great as well! Only open in summer and it's usually busy!

It's just a little dive off of the route to Headland Beach, but it is a must stop every time. There isn't much seating inside but they do have picnic tables all around the building. The hotdogs are all beef and one of the best I have ever eaten. Beware when ordering the fries, you get a lot, but the are awesome. The fries in the picture is the smallest they offer (it's a tiny). Staff is friendly and service is quick. You will love the atmosphere and the kids will love it.

This seems like a local favorite Summer spot that serves dressed up dogs, ice cream treats, and fresh cut fries. That last one is the most noteworthy.They have four sizes of fries....I got the second smallest which was enough to fill up a shoe box. I cant imagine what the large size looks like. But they are done right and have plenty of fixins to go with. You can get dirty fries with their premium toppings or just go with the traditional condiments. Malt vinegar and salt is the only way I eat em !Dogs and ice cream were ok...nothing beyond any other place you go to. The fries are what make this place stand out and go to four stars. Nice place close to the lake. I can see why the locals like it.

Always busy but you move along quick. The hotdogs are deep fried and Fantastic. (I always get the Scooter Dawg). The Burgers are incredible as well. But, it's the fries. All about the fries. So many fries!

We stopped here on a Saturday evening after hitting the beach. The line was expected since I live nearby and pass it daily, but it moves rather quick! It took us about 40 minutes to get our food and get home. They have a parking lot, but we had to park on the street. Inside the restaurant has wonderful, local-inspired decorations. I wasn't able to get pictures because there were people literally everywhere.I desperately wanted a dawg because of how amazing they sounded and smelled, but I decided to stick with the Club Wrap because I splurged so much recently. I was also having a very hard time deciding which one I wanted so we agreed to come back soon. The wrap was pretty good! It was definitely a light, but filling post beach dinner. You know sometimes how you can't eat something too filling after a hot day in the sun? This is that meal. Andrew got the Mac & Cheese Dawg, which was amazing!! They make their own House Mac n Cheese, which he said he'll be ordering by the cup next time. I talked him out of the HomeWrecker because of the size fries we got, but he said he'll be getting it next time. The Long was filling, but he said he wanted to be greedy.The serving of fries here are MASSIVE! We were watching people constantly walk out with trays with mountains of fries. I wish I had gotten a picture because it's unbelievable. We filled our containers twice from the Jr. We will absolutely be back and I can't wait to update when I get my Dawg!!!

Had to park far away during the lunch rush, the place was crowded for a reason. At first glance the prices seemed high to me but the portions are big so it an "okay it's worth it".There is indoor and outdoor seating, the walls are plastered with a bunch of interesting things to keep you occupied.With all the people during a lunch rush the kids working there were fast, friendly, and got the food out quick. Them same can be said even when you go there during a quieter time than lunch.

First & only time going here. 40 mins for food. They brought out ice cream first which was melting through the bag immediately. No biggie, asked for them to put it in the freezer bc I was waiting on my hot dog/fries. 30 mins after ice cream I got the fries/hot dog. Both were cold so I took it home to heat them up. No seasoning on fries, just soggy and oily fries. Had to add salt/pepper and crisp them in the air fryer otherwise they had zero crunch to them. Hot dog was not bad, but not noteworthy. Definitely do not understand the hype. It was busy, but not crazy busy. Just seemed crazy bc the building is so small. There were plenty of employees working there. Not sure why it took so long. Would not recommend or go there again.I got "brownie delight" ice cream. One half square inch of brownie. 95% vanilla ice cream, 1 cherry, and a tiny bit of fudge. One of those things you have to fix at home. For nearly $8 it was extremely disappointing. I thought there would be brownies in brownie delight and not a brownie crumb.

We've been coming here for years and is always a favorite. Something has changed though and I'm not sure what. The fries used to be crazy good. Now they are just blah. I thought they used to fry them in peanut oil and it looks like they are using canola oil. No idea if it is that or the type of potato they are using. They just don't taste the same. Burgers were good as was the dogs, but PLEASE fix the fries. The last two times we're here it was the same. We used to fight over them now we don't want them. I hope someone from Scooters sees this and can correct this. We are looking forward to being back next season and hopefully all is better.

Always always always get the fries!!! I got the footlong and it was good, but the burgers also look amazing
