I live in Lakewood so, of course, Sapell's is convenient. Sometimes I don't feel like battling the crowds at Giant Eagle after a long day of work.Sapell's doesn't have the largest selection of groceries, but they are fine in a pinch if you want to make meat loaf or tacos or need coffee creamer. OR a box of Franzia Chardonnay!

Liquor and steaks! Love Sapells, been coming here since Rini-Regos was right down the street and my Aunts house was where taco bell now stands. (Is it even Taco Bell still ?) either way, corner of 117/Franklin.

I have shopped at this store for many years. The meats are TOP quality. I have never in the many years of shopping here had a bad cut of meat. The store is friendly feeling. It is clean, I moved from Cleveland to Parma and still drive to shop here. I have plenty of other store I could shop at yet prefer to shop here. In the many years I have NEVER had a rude employee. Keep up the great work...

Terrible customer service! Went in to cash a check & soon as the lady working customer service saw it was a hand written check, she started giving me attitude! I've been I there many times to cash checks & she was super mad at me about the hand written check! She said their policy is no hand written checks. Fine. But why you mad about it? I asked if I could speak to the manager, she said I am the manager! You can speak to my boss! I said ok. And she continued on saying I was wasting everyone's time bc he was going to tell me the same thing! Going over her head isn't going to help! Like what the hell is this chick so mad about??? And how in the hell is she even a manager, if she even really is???

I'm not a shopper by nature, especially when it comes to food. I buy when I need and seldom leave my comfort zone, even if I can save money. Sapell's is a local market near my apt that I have been utilizing as of late. I'm a GE patron most of the time, but if I need something simple in a pinch they're right around the corner. It's well organized well stocked and pretty clean. So I feel comfortable with perishables if I need to get them there. The staff is friendly and it never seems crazy busy, but there seems to be a steady stream of patrons usually. Prices are average. A little more in some areas a little less in others. So, if youre a West CLE or Lakewood resident stop in and support a local grocery store. Oh did I mention they have a State Liquor store too? BONUS!

Sapell's may not be Heinens. But I'd rather go here and Aldi's before I go to Giant Eagle. Sapell's has reasonable prices on some things. Other things they don't. However they are a small stand alone store and it's not a chain. It's perfect for the single person who doesn't need to stock up. But the meat selection and also the fruit and veggies are priced just fine. Not too mention if you like your wine and spirits they are right there and reasonably priced. Never felt like they were ghetto at all as I've read. Just down to earth people doing their jobs and they've all been really friendly since I've moved back to the neighborhood. Been going here for years though. If you're Boujee then this is not the place for you. Fine they have loyal customers so no skin off their backs. Kudos Sapell's. There's always going to be haters. Godbless the owners with many more years of service.

This establishment is amazing! Their produce is always fresh and all items that are stocked are extremely well kept! The food quality is great and there is abundance of options (guaranteed to find whatever you need)! Additionally, their staff is amazing. Everyone is super polite, super willing to help, and makes you feel welcomed. The ambiance of the store is very friendly and calm. The store is very clean and you can tell that management does a great job with upkeep and quality. And as a cherry on top, their parking is awesome with ample space and parking spots friendly to large vehicles. Overall, this place is an awesome establishment and it will be the only grocery store I will be going to in the Cleveland area.

Horribly ghetto. My girlfriend went shopping here and was in line. An employee walked in front of her in line and stood inches away (there is a reasonable amount of space one should give a female or anybody when making a transaction) to talk to the cashier. My girlfriend said "excuse me" and the cashier and employee gave her a smirk. After bagging her own groceries, the male employee came back to talk to the cashier once more a moment later and shoulder checked a 100 lb woman. I called the owner when I found out (had I been around there definitely would have been a fight) and his response was, " I can't be everywhere at all times", perfect answer to convince us Never to set foot back in this rat trap of a super market ever again. Hold your purses tight ladies, even the employees are about that life in this place, and the owner could care less. He must be hiring help from the prison release program or something? Who knows.....who cares, they will never see me shopping there EVER again.
