Everything was fantastic, service was excellent. Server didn't leave a glass empty and I was thirsty from a long night out let's say 7-8 glasses of water/iced tea. Bruschetta hit the spot, they should brag about it! Pizza and Italian sub was really good.

Danielle and I have been back to Santosuossos' many times since my last review as we really like the food (for the most part). If I was reviewing only the food, it'd be 4.5-5 stars all the way, though with one exception. Every time we've gone in the last year, we've been served salads w/ browning lettuce - probably premade and cut w/ a knife. Having worked in a restaurant in my youth, I get that - you're expecting to be busy so you make things in advance to save time. And to be honest, we've been there a few times where they were quite busy and we had to wait a while for a meals so preparing ahead of times can be a life saver for staff and customers alike. However...On Friday night we went in for dinner (probably around 7:45-8pm. They weren't busy. But, you'd not know that by the number of employees on hand. The big thing now is "Staffing Shortages" but maybe it's actually staffing mismanagement (and I realize it might be hard to gage staff need for Friday nights). By my count, at least 8 people on the floor (servers, hostesses, bartender). I don't know how many people were in the kitchen but as we left, the little alcove to pick up pizzas was visible and that staff was leaning on the counter bored out of their minds. I bring this up because I was irritated that during our meal, at least one teenage girl who worked there was just hanging out with her friends in the dining room - for at least 25-30 minutes discussing among other things other places to work w/ better wages.I don't know whether she was on the clock or not but there's now a sign posted to notify customers of a 6% surcharge added to all checks now due to the rising cost of everything in this country. Most places I go to have started to implement similar ripoffs thanks to greedy credit card companies taking advantage of decades of governments letting them get away with whatever. Anyway, not that kind of rant...If your company wants to implement any surcharge, the least you could do is make sure your employees are working while onsite. If she has time to hang out w/ her friends, she has time to be in the kitchen helping to make fresh, non-browned salads.I should mention our server, Alex, did a great job for us.Some readers may be aware, that this restaurant is related to several other restaurants in the Strongsville/Middleburg Hts area. I prefer this one over the others. However, I've never seen one family so intent on turning off customers. One brother sold off Italian Village which is now ruined - food was awful last time we went. My in-laws recently went and said the place wasn't clean. Santos in Middleburg is still fine. No complaints. And, the food at Santosousso's is better than either other place, but 6% upcharges, browned salads and staff hanging out w/ their friends in the dining room is eventually going to turn off customers. And based on the emptiness of the dining room on Friday night, maybe it already has.

Fantastic dinner with Richelle at Santo Suosso's. We did not have reservations so we were sat near the kitchen door, with a flicker light, but that did diminish the experience. We had appetizers of garlic cheese bread and calamari. Both come with a delicious marinara sauce is fantastic, chunky tomatoes, onion, but not at all acidic. Garlic cheese bread, yummy! Hugh calamari rings, lightly breaded, you get a crunch and a chew, and calamari flavor comes through. We had side salads, Richelle had ranch dressing I got the Italian red wine vinaigrette. Both are house made, I have never had an Italian red wine vinaigrette, it sweet and tangy, a nice change to my usual ranch choice. For our main course we got the Meatball Sausage casserole, homemade sausage and meatballs!Meatball is mild, I think I can taste veal, very fine ground so when you eat it it just melts. Sausage was very good too.Staff was friendly, with tag team attentiveness that is rarely experienced unless your at a very high end restaurant. We even spoke with the owner, who apologized for the kitchen not keeping up with the bread baking, when we were their. We finished with take out tiramisu, good but not fantastic.Only disappointment, no fresh made bread.... could have gotten five maybe next time.Very good Italian food at an excellent price for the quality and service.

I'm sorry to have to be brutally honest here. Because I want businesses/restaurants to succeed so there are good places to go. We hadn't been here for over 10 years. Decided to try it again and give it another shot. We had lasagna and ravioli because the prices are high here. $23 to $30 for most dishes. The lasagna was $20. It came out and was just short of okay. It was actually lame and the sauce was flavorless. The ravioli sauce was similar to spaghetti O's sauce. I'm not joking. No garlic flavor. No life or decent seasoning to it. Taste like it came out of can. And not a good one. The sodas we had were flat and they got us new ones. It helped a bit I guess. The server was a woman who was a bit older but she did a good job. I mention age because there were three young 18-20 year olds at the host stand. Looking out at the few guests and peeking at their phones and occasionally helping the server lady clear a booth here and there. How sad and stupid. She was busting her butt and they were just being lazy it appeared. Not sure why 3 of them had to be there. Also when we came in they refused us a booth because they had one left and it was under a reservation. We watched it sit empty for 15 minutes. I guess the $56 we spent was not important enough because we didn't call ahead. Unfortunately we will probably never go back here. Nobody asked how things were for us. So I didn't make a fuss. I just decided it wasn't worth it and we'd never go back. I wish it was good. I wish they had better more realistic pricing so dinner for two with no alcohol drinks and a tip wasn't $55 to $65. The one good thing. The ambiance was nice. The food...not so much.

I'm pretty sure some non optimal food was used last night. Nearly my whole group of friends was sick a few hours after. I never had a pizza go through me so fast. It was like a Taco Bell without going to Taco Bell. My other friends said the basil leafs in their dish tasted acidic or sour. Otherwise the dinning room crew was great. For sure not worth their high pricing as there is better Italian for cheaper.

I could not say enough good things about this place. My wife and I just ate here yesterday. Service was awesome! They have the best gluten free noodles I've ever had, and I would argue probably the best pasta I've ever had, and the ambiance is that of a quaint Italian restaurant, with simple yet beautiful murals of Italian wine country. I truly couldn't have asked for a better dinner.

Service was great no complaints. Ordered the stuffed peppers and cheese triangles for an appetizer, stuffed sausage was excellent, half of the cheese triangles had no cheese, salads good, would suggest the Italian dressing, lemon chicken decent, veal parmigiana ok, Cavatelli was hard didn't eat, meatballs were ehhh .. took the leftovers but threw them away when we walked out

Very disappointing.I ordered fettuccine Alfredo with broccoli and shrimp. We discussed and repeated the broccoli and shrimp addition multiple times. When I arrived home, I found no broccoli and 3 small pieces of shrimp. Too far a drive to go back.Carryout is staffed by younger individuals who lack some of the finer attention to details skills.
