Sandstone Coffee House

The coffee is pretty solid and the staff are very nice and helpful. I usually find service is pretty quick. It's a nice place to sit and study, work, or conversation. The seating situation is a bit akward as many times a line forms and many of the tables are on either side of that line. Idk that there's much they can do about that as it's kind of just the way the space is laid out. Overall, if you're in the area this is the best place to grab a cup of coffee and hang out in Amherst right now.

Sandstone Coffee House has a great menu selection with coffees, teas, bakery, breakfast, and lunch options. Our total was $19 which is unbeatable these days! During our visit, my husband and I ordered a cinnamon vanilla iced latte and a blended vanilla latte. The cinnamon vanilla iced latte was a bit sweet for me, tasting like the leftover milk from Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal, but it was still good. My husband absolutely loved his blended vanilla latte as he enjoys coffee on the sweeter side! We also ordered two breakfast sandwiches. Egg, bacon, and cheese on a croissant and another on an Asiago bagel. The breakfast sandwiches were pretty average, the egg was a tiny bit dry, but we were still satisfied. We will be going back to try more!

Nothing gluten free for the many of us that have gluten allergies. We stopped going there over a year ago.

Busy Saturday morning. Our drinks, matcha latte with oat milk was out in 2 minutes and really good!Hot egg, bacon cheese sandwiches out in 6 minutes from order. These were slammin'! Yum.

This is a nice new cafe with lots of seating and food options. Polite, friendly staff. A nice addition to downtown Amherst. (I'm mainly posting this so there are photos of the place. I'm visiting from out of town and wasn't sure if it was open yet. It is!)

I really like the ambience and menu, but the speed of the service has steadily declined. The staffing has not kept up with the increase in business. This morning only two newer staffers were on duty. I ordered a simple coffee and a muffin, just to help speed things up. After not getting my order for 25 minutes, and a long line still backing up, I left. If you are in any kind of hurry, it is not the place to go!
