Service was great fast, efficient, food was good. It was a great pit stop after a day at the beach! Has your typical bar snacks and food. Some of the guests were obnoxious for a random weekday afternoon. They were walking around the dining area annoying the waitress but to no fault of hers. She was still great and efficient with us. You could tell she was running all the tables herself trying to finish her shift despite 2 other servers hanging out behind the bar.

I needed to get a lake perch sandwich, so a couple buddies and I headed to Sand Bar. I had been here a few years ago, and was happy to be back. In addition to the sandwich, which was spot-on, and came with a fantastic roll, and what we surmised was probably homemade tartar sauce, we got the sauerkraut balls, and the fried cheese curds. These are two side items that need to be on way more menus, as they were absolutely perfect.The whole meal was exactly what we were looking for, the place was busy but not overcrowded, and our waitress was really friendly and attentive. This is a great, local, out-of-the-way spot.

In town for a fishing trip and gave the Sand Bar a try for lunch. Service was great and food was solid. Would have given it 5 stars, but my only complaint was that the perch was very bony! Fresh...but tons of bones. Everything else was great!

Came here in at 7:45pm on a weekday with my wife and 2 children and was instantly told that we could not eat there because the kitchen was closed even though another couple walked in 5 mins before us while my wife and I were getting the kids out of the car. It was surprising because I'm a local and know the kitchen closes later than that (10pm I believe). Was just upsetting to see after a long, hot beach day to be turned away ONLY because the couple who walked in right before us were served.

Avoid at ALL cost!!!! Steep decline after the partner took over to save $$$ at the cost of the entire staff, consumer and business. Plenty of other better choices up the road within a mile.
