Courtney and her staff are great they have done wonderful things with this place and she took over. This is one of the few places that me and my wife venture out to with our extremely busy schedules. She is the best her food is fantastic I wish her nothing but success. I also want her to sell me her sparkly silver bar stools from the '80s :-)

Always a friendly greeting at Salvatore's. Great happy hour appetizers and cocktails nightly. Delicious menu. Some of our very favorites: Meatballs & Ricotta, Calzone, Pizza, Homemade Lasagna, Baked Cod and the Garlic & Oil Angle Hair Pasta with Shrimp. Don't forget the house salad with their homemade Italian dressing... delicious. We go to Salvatore's weekly and recommend it to everyone. The staff is lovely, as well! Salvatore's is a staple in the restaurant business in Vermilion snd surrounding cities. Cozy and very clean. Bravo Salvatore's!

My daughter took me here for a late Mother's Day dinner. We live in the area but had never been here prior as I'm pretty picky about Italian restaurants. And honestly the days that they're closed are usually when we ended up wanting to go! That's probably the only negative I can say about Salvatore's - they are closed Sunday through Tuesday so make sure you're aware of that ahead of time. We were seated immediately upon arriving. They weren't crazy busy but had a decent amount of customers, especially for a Thursday (we went on 5/25). Loved the music and all the old photos and artwork on the walls. Our server was super sweet, attentive, knowledgeable and made sure we always had our drinks and bread filled! We shared the shrimp cocktail and meatballs for an appetizer - both were a nice size and delicious. For a meal I got the chicken fontina and my daughter did the create your own pasta. My food was delicious and a very generous portion. I ended up taking about half of it home (which my 17yr old son happily devoured the next day). My daughter said the only complaint she had with hers was it was a bit salty - however she expected that since she got prosciutto Alfredo sauce. It wasn't bad by any means, just something worth noting for anyone else looking to order that! We both enjoyed our meals greatly and got several desserts to go. The tiramisu is 100% worth an extra cheat day! Looking forward to another visit, hopefully soon with the rest of the family.

We stopped in at Salvatore's unannounced but were eagerly seated and waited on by Lisa. This was only our second visit to this great little hide away. O.M.G. is the food here ever delicious! My wife ordered the crabcakes to take home, they were the best ever! The warm bread was so good along with the great salad. We both enjoyed the Chicken Parmigana, took half home because we simply couldn't eat it all. Did I mention Lisa our waitress??? We will be looking for her on our next visit which I hope will be soon!Keep up the great work, this is truly a great Italian restaurant.

Service was good but food was not. Olive Garden is even better. Overpriced and not worth it.

Great Experience. Sat at the bar and the bartender Shelly was great. Flirted with me the whole time and felt special. Just sad my wife got upset. Food was excellent.

Food was amazing like being at mama Maria's in Italy table having dinner. Staff knowledgeable and friendly. Atmosphere elegant yet comfortable - brought my grandchildren for dinner - they were very accommodating!

We went here after I seen a friend on facebook had gone here. The dining area is quite small but eloquently decorated in black and white linen. Very nice! We went on a Monday early so there were only two other people in the restaurant. We ordered some meatballs and bruschetta as appetizers. We were served some bread which was good and butter. The appetizers came out rather quickly. We had ordered our meals just before the appetizers came out. I ordered the Eggplant Parmesan, my wife ordered the angel hair with homemade red sauce, they have NO meat sauce or bolognese, and a meatball along with some garlic bread. Our co-diners ordered the chicken Marsala and another angel hair with home made red sauce. The meatballs were very nice but the sauce tasted a little burnt, this would be a theme throughout dinner. The bruschetta was good. We got to talking then and it seemed like forever, actually was 45 minutes, before they brought out the entrees. Our friend's chicken Marsala was more like mushrooms and a little bit of chicken. He said the flavor was good but not much chicken. The pasta was cooked well but the sauce, again, tasted burnt. My eggplant Parmesan had the same sauce with the same taste. If not for the burnt taste of the sauce I would have enjoyed the meal but as it was I did not. I have it three stars but could have easily given it two. Won't be back anytime but maybe your sauce will not be burnt.

I used to look forward to a delicious dinner at Salvatore of baked cod with angel hair pasta. It was a culinary delight. When my husband took me there on October 6th, 2023 for my birthday, I was delighted. However, instead of the pasta being served in a traditional rolled cone and served drenched in butter, it was spread out on a plate with no butter, room temperature and dry. The cod was also quite disappointing. It was not a filet, but several pieces of over cooked dry, unseasoned disappointment. It will be a long time before I can bring myself to return. Especially when dinner for two was more than $70. The service was lacking, almost as if they forgot about us, even though we had reservations. We were seated near the bar and the bartender was over the top flirting with a patron. I was actually embarrassed for her. Do better, Salvatores, do better.
