Sail Inn

Very slow service, normally 1 bartender who is also the waitress, server & cook. Go early if you want the daily specials, as they run out quickly. Their burgers are exceptional, French fries mediocre at best.

Under new management and owners. I had the perch dinner yesterday, which was very good. Reasonable prices. They are even open for breakfast 3 days a week (Thursday, Friday, and Saturday I believe). TouchTune Juke Box; but occasionally have a band like last night which was "Tight Wadd". They have a pool table and darts also. So, it is still a good little neighborhood hangout, but NOT one of those 'old soul' places as it really comes to life!

The Sail In is a hidden gem in Sandusky. The Bloody Mary Bar and breakfast specials on Saturdays are just fantastic. Cold beer and friendly people.

After a long day riding roller coasters at Cedar Point, my friends and I decided to try some local Sandusky flavor before turning in. Sail In is exactly what we were looking for. They have your standard selection of bar food-- cheese sticks, French fries, burgers, sandwiches-- at fair prices as well as great daily specials. The night we went, their special was a cheeseburger, fries, and slaw for $5! Naturally, I took the deal and I did not regrets choice. The burger and fries hit the spot perfectly! They make their slaw in house and it's pretty good but needed just a bit extra salt and pepper. On top of the good prices and food, the service was great! It appeared that our server was also the only employee there that night yet she took our drink and food orders promptly and our food came out quickly.

When I lived in Sandusky, Sail In was arguably my favorite bar. Cheap drinks, cheap ever for Sandusky, always-friendly staff and patrons, plenty of space, and incredible wings!If you've ever enjoyed a honey-mustard wing in your life, you must get them at Sail In. I've spent time living in Buffalo, but when I miss good wings I miss them from Sail In in good ol' Sandusky, OH.They have dartboards but no darts, but are perfectly happy to let people with darts throw for free. The bar is mostly full of regulars, but unlike many bars where that's the case, they're extremely friendly to new faces.Anyone visiting or living in Sandusky, go enjoy this treat of a bar.

This locals' place is friendly to everyone!!! Great mixed drinks for an awesome price! Excellent bar burger cooked just right! And one hard working waitress/bartender/cook, Alle, who left us wanting for nothing. Tip well, my friends, she is awesome!

I really wanted to like Sail In after all of the positive reviews. We walked in and immediately walked out. There were tons of people smoking, seated at the bar in a tiny room. It was disgusting.

Excellent Service! I ordered the fresh caught Perch Sandwich and fries. Very nice ambiance! I will be back!!

The Food is Delicious, Service is excellent, Great Great place. Ashley the bartender does a really good job .
