This place we hadn't been here in years. It's still the same, hiddend and offering good wines. Mainly sweet over dry. What has changed?New ownership has taken over the winery. They have a contract with the previous wine owner to stay on until two years to help the husband get up to speed with the wine making process. In addition, the new owners will be moving the location to a different area along Route 8.Good winery and look forward to trying the new place. You will be able to have a glass and sit and enjoy with food options.

I found myself staying nearby for a wedding and was pleasantly surprised when we arrived at Rustic Acres Winery. The scenery was picturesque, the staff was friendly, and the wines were a phenomenal foray into deliciousness. This winery offers some seating inside and glasses for purchase, in addition to normal sized and half sized bottles, but I couldn't say if there was outside seating. Light snacks of cheese and crackers were sold and at a reasonable price. However, if your visiting this location for the snacks - you're wrong! Rustic Acres offers, at times, 50+ wines from more commonly recognized grapes, such as merlot, Riesling, and Syrah, as well as a plethora of varietals, blends, and fruit wines unique to this location. Although the maps revealed a number of wineries and cideries in the area this was our one and only stop and we highly recommend it!We're eager to return home and enjoy some of our 'souvenirs'. Hopefully the gods will bring us back to the area for another visit. 10/10

I'm not a wine drinker but I want to be... I walked in with no knowledge of what I wanted and the gentleman working walked us through what the had by sweetness to figure out what I might like. We ended up buying three bottles and we're very happy with our purchase. The winery itself is super cute and well decorated and since it's so close to home i will definitely be back again!

Rustic Acres Winery is a very cute, small and quaint "farmhouse" place that offers quite a surprising variety of wines (locally-made and other) that will tantalize your taste buds & senses. There's a board listing the wines available and organizes them by features (color, type, taste, etc.).Samples of whichever wine(s) you'd like to try (that are currently available) were offered & happily given to anyone 21 years old or older. The owner/winemaker is very nice and informative/educational without being a salesman! In fact, I was visiting from out-of-town and when I asked him about mailing the wine to Florida he educated & advised me that mailing wine to another state from PA is illegal; some [immoral] salesmen may chance it, but it's the customer's problem (for any reason, including) if the bottle(s) break.Other items (locally-made products and wine accompaniments) were also available for sale. When you go there, be on the lookout for the winery because the location is small and easily passable due to the landscape obstacles, size and location on the road.

I became familiar with this winery through a lady I used to work with. She would come fairly frequently and suggested I try to Edelweiss. We have similar tastes in wine so I said sure and she bought me a bottle. Every time she would go she would offer to pick me up a few bottles but I no longer work with her so I had to go for myself, finally. What an awesome little, quaint building close enough to route 8 to be easy to get to yet far enough out that it feels like it is in the country. We, the hubby was with me even though he despises wine, were the only two in the place. It was nice. The owner was so friendly. He had stories about his wines which he shared and had stories about some of the items in his store. I tried a few wines. Buying 6 bottles. I will certainly go back. 1.) Because the Edelweiss is some of the best sweet white I have ever had. 2) Because the owner was so friendly and awesome. And 3.) The other wines I tried were awesome too (I chose the Capt John's - which is potent and the summer mist which was a nice and light wine). I will certainly be back!

Visited this winery yesterday. The owner was very nice and welcoming. The wine selection was great and the prices were good. We choose the Gewurztraminer but it was a hard decision because everything was fantastic!

A friend and I had the best time at Rustic Acres last weekend. The owner was nice, very knowledgeable, and let us try as many samples as we wanted. We ended up getting 12 bottles between the two of us! They have a huge selection but everything we tried was great and all had very different flavors. Make sure to try the chocolate and almond wines!! We will be back for sure.

We love this place! Run by a friendly husband and wife team, Rustic acres has some great wines. It is so much more enjoyable to go there rather than a state store. You can taste any wine you want, and receive lot's of information and insight form the owners. The prices are reasonable too.

What a great experience today with Jim. He was very knowledgeable on every one of their excellent wines. We have visited in the past and have always enjoyed this winery. Please visit you will not be disappointed. We plan on attending the annual open house on Sept. 19th 2015. We will again be bringing home all of our favorites.
