The buffet had a nice variety of items. I saw Chinese-American staples like pepper steak, lo mein, spring rolls, and egg rolls as well as a few sushi rolls and some desserts including a few tubs of ice cream. In my humble opinion, the pepper steak and lo mein were just okay. Not the worst I've ever had, but not the best I've had at a buffet. I thought that both could have been more flavorful. However, I had plenty of tasty items. I enjoyed the coconut shrimp (which was juicy and covered in a creamy sweet sauce), frog legs (which were also juicy and freshly fried in a golden brown breading that tasted like it was spiced with a bit of turmeric), BBQ pork ribs (which had plenty of tender meat that was covered in a sweet and savory char siu marinade), honey chicken, and fried chicken wings.I also helped myself to some potatoes (but not too much because I was at a buffet after all), pot-stickers, clams, sauteed mushrooms, an egg roll, and a spring roll.Though I was satisfied with the Chinese-American food selection, I was disappointed with the sushi options. There were very few choices (and I don't think I saw any rolls with raw fish), and none of the rolls were particularly neatly rolled. The California roll pieces I had weren't bad. However, if you're looking for a buffet with sushi, I suggest you look elsewhere.Even though my belly was already full from several plates of savory items, I still had to get dessert. I got some red Jello, a cup of coffee-flavored pudding, and a generous scoop of mint chocolate chip ice cream. If you're in Medina and looking for a relatively inexpensive meal that will fill you up (and more), I don't think you can go wrong with Royal Buffet & Grille.

As most would admit the ranking for buffets usually fall between 1-3 stars. This location had plenty of options and the food was hot. I did like their version of egg foo young. I wish they offered homemade mustard instead of the crappy packets. They served Coca-Cola products

It's OK. It's not bad. It's not what others have posted on Yelp, though. They do offer shrimp on ice without peeling. It's what you can expect from a good Chinese buffet. Good, but not great. Nice hot dishes. I didn't try any of the other service they may have offered. The eggrolls were OK. The service was good. They had steamed small clams, ribs, chicken, egg foo yung, rice noodles. For $10.99 for lunch, it was certainly filling. I would go back.

I've been wanting to hit up a buffet for a while now, seeing as I haven't dined at one in some time. There are two buffets in the neighborhood and it turns out, they both serve Chinese food. We were promptly seated and our drink requests were taken. I requested a Sprite, which was mixed correctly, but I think it was Sierra Mist.I made my way to the buffet and noticed some large individuals doing what large individuals do. I joined them. I tried many different items, such as mushrooms, broccoli, General Tso's chicken, pepper chicken, pepper steak, pot stickers, coconut shrimp, fried rice, sushi, and teriyaki chicken. My favorite items were the coconut shrimp, the teriyaki chicken, and the mushrooms. The sushi was below average as was everything else. Noteably, the fried rice and noodles were both dry and flavorless, the potstickers were also dry. The broccoli was excellent. For dessert, I had some Key Lime pie, but it was out of a box and they put the box lid on the buffet so you would know which brand it was. I'm not sure that was necessary, but I thought it was funny. For four of us the price was $62. That's a great price for an all-you-can-eat buffet, but I doubt that we'll return due to the poor quality and flavor of the food.

My first visit to the Buffet. I was treated with a smile and hello. I was seated promptly and offered a drink immediately. The lunch selection, which is what I got was very adequate for lunch service. They have a dinner selection as well for the dinner hours and it looks to be many more items available for dinner. But I was very pleased with lunch for sure. The food was hot and very tasty. I highly recommend you coming here. I will be back for sure.

I can't say enough about this restaurant! The food is always on point, flavorful and fresh. The staff is friendly and accommodating, you never have to wait to have empty plates cleared from your table and they are always there to refill your drinks. They are always sociable as well. I bring friends down from Cleveland because it is the best buffet in the area.

Place opens at 11am, got there at noon. Food dried out and rubbery, tasted terrible. I took mother here for birthday, she told waiter the food was too tough and hard to eat, waitress said "go get something else"....even food that was not too dehydrated tasted "off"...won't go back.

Very little food selection compared to local competitors in the area. The sweet and sour chicken tasted like it was reheated several times in the microwave. Teriyaki chicken was so tough you could barely chew. The noodles had a very weird flavor and smell to them as well. If I have to be honest the only thing good here was the sugar donuts. Service was okay. The price is high for the low quality food that you are getting. Left hungry and had to go find food elsewhere.

Of all the buffets in Medina and/or Akron n surrounding areas, I believe this buffet is thee BEST, a true hidden GEM. :-)My family n I went 3X for special occasions (e.g., birthdays, etc.) n this past weekend, went with a friend (4th time) bcuz I wanted to show her what I consider a good Asian buffet. Before this, my family n I used to go to the buffet in Canton A LOT, but they're always overly crowded there, so started coming here bcuz no lines, good food, great service n reasonable prices. We come from the west coast where buffets are plentiful, so this place meets our high standards for an All-U-can-eat buffet. Agree with previous reviewer, they're very attentive, seated us right away, filled up our drinks often n also cleared our table free of used/empty plates; overall, outstanding service n well worth it for the price. Also, I believe they have a Senior citizen discount, which is a big PLUS. My favs are: Stuffed mushrooms, various veggies (like green beans, broccoli, etc.) steamed Salmon (n other Seafood), sushi n fresh fruits n a good selection of ice cream. Must've went at a good time bcuz everything seemed pretty fresh. Overall, we left very satisfied n would def come back again.
