Root Candles At West Liberty

Beautifully displayed candles, pillows, gadgets and gifts for everyone. Very efficient check out.I could spend a lot of time and money in this place.Lots of parking.

This is the kind of shop I can get lost in and spend an inordinately long amount of time. The Root candles look to be of high quality and come in different formats but don't appeal to my whimsical or creative nature. The packaging is very mass-produced/Williams-Sonoma or Chesapeake Bay-esque. It's such a looooooong store with plenty of home goods and body care products. Prices are high but it is very pleasant to browse and explore. There are candies, chocolates, dried pastas, sauces and food items as well.

Endless. I thought I was going into a little candle gift shop. It has everything!! Plan to spend a few hours. Bring your sense of smell!! Candles galore!!Every time you finish a room there is another one! I truly enjoyed walking through each room. Very well laid out. Perfect place to find a gift for someone who has everything!!

Due to COVID-19 they do not allow the public to use their restrooms. We have gone several times during the pandemic and have been able to use the restroom. We were disappointed as we drove a long way and had to use the restroom before we shopped. We had to rush through the store pick a few candles paid and left. We were planning on taking our time in the store and buying more but were unable to do so. We watched other customers ask for a restroom and told to drive down the street. I absolutely love this place but did not like that such a big establishment did not offer the ability to use the restroom. Even paying customers. Hopefully they will find a way to open their restrooms back up.

If you think you have seen and/or smelled all of the candles, just wait until you go in to this store!! There was one room after another, it was surprising! It was a tad overwhelming with the scents from all of the candles. Neat store, very colorful! Staff was very friendly and helpful. I was able to get a lavender candle that I really enjoy having in my room. A very calm and relaxing scent on it's own. Plenty of gift ideas too!! A good local business to support by supporting you!

WOW this place is huge! Lots of candles, home decor, cutesy stuff available for purchase. This place is a warehouse sized, good-smelling factory of every housewife's dream come true. Candles are a bit on the pricey size - I wound up spending $50 (with a 25% Labor Day sale going on, mind you) for 2 candles, 2 coasters, and like 8 stickers. So, take that as you will but this place is pricey in my opinion. Worth stopping by, this place is a good place to do some home shopping.

They've done a bit of rearranging since we were last here. It's gotten a lot smaller. The outlet "store" is no more. Now there is one room devoted to outlet candles in the main store. The food section has been cut back to half size or more to accommodate the outlet section and that fantastic upstairs section that had great discounts is now closed to employees only. It's a bit of a let down, but we still found a few candles and candle holders that struck our fancy. The store is really lovely inside and this year marks their 150th year! Happy birthday! :)

We stopped at Root Candles this afternoon. It is always beautifully decorated with home accessories and holiday accents. They carry Kate Spade, Vera Bradley, and Lilly Pulitzer accessories. Perfect for bridal showers or hostess gifts! The associates were beginning to put out Fall and Halloween decorations when we visited. Witches, pumpkins, and autumn leaves could be seen filling bookshelves. The entire store was 25% off today! With every nook and cranny, there were extensive collections of retired scents and older packaged candles (their black labels). The greatest find was 20 votive candles in the Candy Cane scent for $4.50. It is our favourite scent for Christmas time! We picked up candles in a range of scents from Hosta to Lilac Sage to Drizzling Honey to Pineapple Papaya. Root Candles has something for everyone!

We have always made it a point to visit the Root Candle Company Factory And home design Emporium every time we are in the vicinity of Medina Ohio ..... And , being creatures of habit , We have practiced pretty much the same routine on each of our trips to the locale every few months . After our usual lunch break at Miss Molly's Tea Room , the next stop on our agenda has always been the Root factory , and the anticipation of spending two hours or so entranced by the latest Design offerings in the Root emporium showrooms, And the wonderful aromas that are attendant to the various well arranged displays . . In addition to its namesake aromatic candles , which feature hands down , the worlds best fragrances and colors , This business is a quasi-museum of decorative arrangements and artistic nick-nacks which are designed to be used as focal points on bookshelf's , or to enhance side tables , or to add pizazz to window treatments . Among The buildings multi room geography there is also a area that highlights a variety of party food items and menu helper ingredients , in addition to a spot that boasts of a number of long tables which serve the do-it-yourself Classes which are offered on food preparation techniques and hand made decorative accessories! And ..... have I mentioned the area that purveys candle " seconds " at a reduced rate ? I must say tho , that on this particular trip , We were a bit disappointed, to see that a few of the usual items that were once available for purchase in the front display rooms had been reduced in quantity and selection .......I would be remiss not to Mention the disappointment of a few in our group , as to the Missing in action Kate Spade and Lilly Pulitzer collections . But , alas .... I guess that nowadays , change is inevitable ! But , that being said , this iconic establishment is still well worth a couple hours of your time , to Peruse , gaze , handle and smell your way thru a delightful afternoon of enchantment !

This is a must visit place if you're in the area. Not only because of its history but they have an awesome selection of candles at reasonable prices. In addition, there are other merchandise aside from the candles that The staff are accommodating and very knowledgeable about their products.
