This is a pretty solid spot. The service is always good, we love the bartenders and servers there. It's like a totally new place since they opened up the other side. Very spacious, bright, with lots of pool tables, darts, tables and games. Fair prices, good pours, lots of specials. We started coming here because of trivia. Cleveland Awesome Trivia hosts a weekly game on Sundays and we love it. It's a good game and fabulous hosts! The food is really excellent, too. Try a burger or the loaded cheese fries. YUMMM!!!I love that Dan is the main picture for this bar because he is seriously the best.

I was getting Tires at Discount Tire and wandered over to Rookies to get a sandwich. Never been there before, and was surprised at how big and well turned out this place is. Ordered the Buckeye burger, (sauteed onions and Swiss cheese) comes with fries. The burger came in no time, delivered by the Cook. This guy really knows what he's doing. Just the night before I ate at Five Guys so I was able to make a solid comparison.Rookies makes a better, thicker, juicier, tastier burger. While their were only half the fries of Five Guys, I liked them better. The burgers and fries are made fresh daily, and cooked to order. I'll be going back very soon, and BTW the check was HALF the price of Five Guys.

This seems like a nice local bar. We stopped for a quick bite to eat and something to drink. They had mimosa's on special and they were worth the $4.00. We also ordered the toasted cheese ravioli's for &4.50 and there were 6 in the basket, cooked golden brown and served hot. There was only 1 barmaid serving the entire bar ( about 25 seats/ all full) and Us aT a table. She was friendly, smiling and everyone appeared to be served quickly. If you are looking for something with some class, go elsewhere. This is a nice, friendly, local bar.

im actually like super surprised that it has the reviews it does..but ill go ahead with my schpeel.Went to rookies on a sunday afternoon to watch my new york giants take on the green bay packers....it was PACKed in there ( see what i did? no? ok) anyway, its a cool little spot, right in a strip mall so i honestly wasnt expecting alot, but i was quite pleased with what i got.Typical bar food, wings and burgers, pizza, salad and wraps...the yooze. I got their " too damn hot" wings which im pretty sure caused an ulcer in my stomach but hey i was forwarned right? The wings were perfectly crisped and tossed in sauce, not soggy or overpowering which was great since im such a winger. We also had the pretzels, some quesadillas which were stuffed to the max with cheese, the cajun fries and nachos which for me got cold quickly but hey it was 4 degrees outside so there is that ( we were hungry and stressing for our game dont judge me). My husband got the buckeye burger which he wanted medium well but it came more well than anything, not to fret he said it was still delicioso. The service for being packed was actually awesome. Our waitress was super friendly and attentive, they all seemed really into the games too which was great because they knew to keep the food and alcohol coming. They have pool tables available for play, tons of beer on tap, full line of liquor and a great local place to go where im sure if you go enough everybody will know your name ( cue cheers music). My Giants lost ( le sigh) but i got a great meal for a great value so honestly i cant complain about this place. Cheers to great times and good people at Rookies!

Came for another fundraiser event. Bartenders were on top of their game. I never had an empty cup. The Kitchen had everything hot and stocked. Seemed like a well oiled machine. Wings were large and well sauced. They have rearranged all the pool tables and I think maybe the dart boards. The bowling machine is gone. Before it needed repair, I'll still miss it. Bought a shot to leave the bartenders extra tip. They rocked.

We love this place! They did a great job with the remodel and have tons of pool tables so you almost never have to wait to play. Lots of tv's for watching games. The food is surprisingly great for bar food, big juicy burgers, fresh flavorful wings, fresh cut fries and a menu with lots to choose from. Great beer selection and the servers/bartenders are super friendly and attentive. Daily food and drink specials, and reasonable prices on all the food and drink on the menu. Family friendly atmosphere. We see young children with their parents in the dining area for dinner all the time. Their outdoor patio is also nice and you're welcome to bring your dog.Every Tuesday is "Hero Night" where drafts are two bucks. Show your police, fire, or military ID and your meal is free! Show your support for a local business that supports the men and women who protect and serve our country, you won't be disappointed!

Let's dust off that Parma [ok, this place is in Middleburgh Hts, but the criteria remain] bar checklist: - Beer Selection limited to domestics with limited or no microbrews ? -Check- About 12 drafts. Between that and their bottle selection, I think they had every domestic, even smirnoff coolers. They did have Leinkeugal, sunset wheat, a big surprise in the dead of winter [and a lone Great Lakes]. They also had Honey Brown, which tasted abnormally flat and bad but the bartender gave me a different beer. Decent prices [$2-3 for domestic drafts]. - Clientele of Parma people: white, working and middle class, 35-60, only collars on shirts are on the occasional polos ? yes, although a bit younger [25-40ish]. - A menu consisting of fried food, wings, burgers. Vegetarian options limited to a couple house salads, some of the fried food, and a veggie burger. A 'Parma' Menu often has a slight Eastern European (I use 'Eastern' very broadly) influence including sauerkraut, sausage, kilbasa, gyros, etc ? -Check- I had a burger which didn't come with lettuce. This only reaffirms my stereotype of Parma. The burger itself was a tad greasy. Service was ok. The bartender was nice I asked for Connor's Irish Ale (which ended up not to be available, which I'd expected). but asked me twice with a confused look on her face, whether I wanted Smithwicks. On the plus side, they had 2 pool tables, the old-fashioned bowling game (score!), and a basketball game. There's a few TVs, a large projection screen, and a jukebox with the standard [often cheesy] bar tunes. Not my type of bar. If you're into the Parma bars, then come on down. I went here not on my dime and that's the only way I'd go here again, if at all.

My favorite sports bar ever! 10 pool tables including some diamond tables. The Tuesday steak special is a great deal, I love their wings(dry Cajun with a side of Hot) , and the sin burger is so good I feel obligated to eat it all! The owners truly care about the patrons and it shows, staff is very friendly and amazingly fast even though the place is often pretty crowded on weekends.

My girlfriend was playing league on Friday only to be loudly embarrassed by a server simply for not tipping (she doesn't know the ettiquite). I get servers needing tips as their wages are adjusted based on assumed tips but there is a right way and a wrong way to handle it. The server tonight embarrassed my gf and made her cry by loudly and sarcastically making digs about tipping ettiquite.I'm beyond upset. I'd love to speak to management over this. Not professional behavior at all.My gf is afraid to go back and that's her home bar she plays league out of. The server threatened to never serve her as well and promised to remember her.
