I had never been to Ashtabula and the only reason we stopped here was because of the Beach Glass Festival. We were visiting the various vendors then decided we were hungry. This place has a lot of character! The wallpaper made me smile:). We ordered the calamari and pierogi appetizers and they were both very good. I ordered the Turkey sandwich and my husband had the steak sandwich. I enjoyed my Turkey sandwich and the fries were very good. My husband wound up eating half of my sandwich because the steak sandwich just was not good. There were spices on it that my husband and I just did not like, and the bread was hard to chew. Everything else was very good, so this sandwich was disappointing. Our server was friendly and took care of us despite the busyness of the festival. I'm glad we stopped here and if we're ever back in Ashtabula, we will try it again, but won't get the steak sandwich.

Stopped in for dinner on a Wednesday evening, we did not have a reservation, but they were able to seat us promptly. The decor is that of a former small town meat market with modern lighting and decorative finishes. The staff was friendly, courteous, and willing to chat about recommendations as well as the history of the meat market.we both ordered a glass of red wine which was served promptly. I ordered a ribeye steak, and my wife ordered a strip steak. The orders took about forty minutes to be served but both entrees were delicious and prepared as ordered, clearly the best meal we have had in some time. My wife ordered thin onion rings as a side which were the best of the sides we tried. Our waitress also suggested we try several other restaurants within the bridge area. Our dining experience was excellent.

We had a memorable meal here at this historic meat market from the 1800's. We had brunch, homemade pierogies, and short rib hash. We loved the historic building and location. My husband enjoyed a bloody Mary with a mix made from scratch. My pierogies were the best I've had in Ohio where it seems they serve them everyFarm-to-table with a wonderful view of historic downtown Ashtabula.

We were in the area for a swim competition and wanted to try a local steakhouse for our carnivorous swimmer. Our daughter had a ramen which she said was delicious. My husband had the smaller filet with a side of wild mushrooms which he said was cooked to perfection. I had the beef stroganoff which was heavenly. The sous vide short rib was like butter and so tender. The homemade pasta, mushrooms and cream sauce were divine. Our T-Rex had the 12oz filet and a double serving of fries. The filet was buttery tender as well, cooked to medium rare perfection and the fries were absolutely delicious! If you around Ashtabula and want the tastiest meal you've had in a long time, visit Rennick Meat Market!

Great restaurant, Great location and great atmosphere! We are full-time RVers and always rely on yelp as most of you here do. Cute little old town, full of life on Lake Erie at Ashtabula Harbor. This place was a meat market that opened up in the late 1800's and still has a lot of the original wood work and floors.. very cool! I ordered a Bloody Mary to start and they had house made Bloody Mary mix and it was delicious! Just the right amount of spices and heat and it came with Tito's.. bonus! My wife order the house made pierogis and I went with the short rib hash. I don't think we could have ordered anything better. Every thing was phenomenal and service was on par with all described! Friendly, clean and we most certainly will be back at some point during our trip.

Oi, it's lunch time, and it's time for meat! I mean, what more did I need to say? Apparently a bit, because short and sweet doesn't meet Yelp's minimum character count, lol.

Arguably one of the best restaurants for steaks and many other items. Skip the big city food scene because Rennicks beats them all in this small lake town.

We had the flat iron and hanger steaks, the fried shishito peppers, calamari, and finished with espresso and Italian affogato. Do your own research, spend a little money, try for yourself, but probably one of the best restaurants we've ever been to.
