The place appears a bit fancy right... Nice atmosphere, servers are friendly, but the food.... Not at all worth the money. A toddler could make a tastier meal. we won't retry .

Even though everything we've heard has been negative, we are always excited to try something new in Toledo, and this week our local newspaper gave Regalo a surprisingly good review, so we popped in the same day to see what it was all about.And long story short, it's not really about anything. From the atmosphere, which is non-existent, to the service which was disinterested at best, to the food that was one step down from hotel food (nice plating, bland to awful flavors), we will not be back.And honestly, it's the atmosphere alone that kills what could otherwise be a passable, generic, Americanized Italian restaurant. The restaurant is in the middle of the casino, with no actual walls buffering you from the slot machines, and canned top 40 music. And if for some odd reason, you thought to take your significant other out for a date, as the couple next to us was on, you'll be saddened by your choice in nice clothes, when you're surrounded by elderly casino junkies wearing shorts and tank tops. It's just a bizarre setting with marginal everything.There is zero reason to go to Regalo unless you're already at the casino and starving. And even then, I'd recommend just jumping in your car and driving across the river to Downtown Toledo. Anywhere else is better than this place.

Our party of three went to Regalo's on St. Patrick's Day weekend to experience it for the first time. We will be back. The atmosphere was perfect for a casino restaurant - modern and cool. Despite being in a casino, we were able to converse normally, which is not always the case. The service was exceptional. The food was delicious and plentiful. I had the spaghetti and meatballs (my go to test dish to see how "Italian" a restaurant is.) It passed with flying colors. (If you are expecting Ragu from a jar, you'll be disappointed.) I loved that the pasta was handmade. Looking forward to more dinners here, but hoping my luck is better at the slots.

Don't waste your money. The table side meal was terrible, the pasta wasn't even cooked. Far from Al dente even. Took an hour for our meal and the bread was dry. Horrible service too.

it is a comfortable setting in the Hollywood Casino.The ambience was very good. Our waiter was very attentive.The food was not nearly up to the price charged for it. The bread appetizer was very blah. We ordered the highroller chicken. The only thing good about that dish was the sun-dried tomatoes. The chicken was flavorless and the saice that accompanied the chicken was nothing but colored salt water. That sauce was very, very salty with little actual flavor.We had a Cesar salad and that was fresh and generous and included real anchovies. The salad did not make up for the mediocre main course.

Service was amazing! I wanted to try the cheese wheel for my birthday and to check it off my bucket list. It is a Parmesan wheel. It was really cool to see and experience! The bruschetta was hella good as well! Id recommend

Lots of bad reviews on here for Regalo. We were seated promptly nd got water and bread. Our drinks came next and we ordered apps. For apps we got the table side prosciutto and the table side cacciio e Pepe.. It took forever to get our apps and our waitress took our entree orders while we were waiting. Finally the table side stuff arrived. Proscuttio was sliced too thick but was very good. caccio e Pepe was way too saucy but tasted good. Our entrees came while we were eating our apps which is a big no no, esp at a higher end restaurant. The food was all good, the spaghetti sauce was good and we had good portions. The service was very poor. We had to ask for more water, she never checked on us while we were eating and she brought the bill while we were still eating. We had to ask to have the dirty dishes removed when we were done. Overall this should have been a solid 4 star review but the service cost a star for sure.

Despite the many poor reviews here we decided to give this restaurant a try. The chicken Parm the chicken was rubber. I asked to exchange for meatballs which the server agreed to do. The meatballs came out, the first meatball I started to eat had something hard in it, turned out to be a piece of plastic I believe. The Mrs had the Alfredo, which lacked flavor. Our meal was comped as it should have been.

Very slow service, took nearly an hour to get our food. The meatballs appetizer had a weird texture. My pasta dish was over cooked so the noodles were mushy, and iver all was rather salty

Food and service were very good. We had 10 people in our group and everyone said they thought their meals were very good. I would go back again.Keep in mind that this is a restaurant in a casino so the ambiance was not great. Also it would have been nice if they had round tables for large groups.
