I wanted to like this place, but the food was incredibly mediocre. It's nice inside and the booth my wife and I sat in with our out-of-town friends was cozy, but we found the food to be very disappointing.I ordered a chicken bacon ranch wrap that came with fries and my wife ordered calamari. I thought my wrap was flavorless, even with ranch dressing, and my wife's calamari was WAY overcooked. She said it was chewy and unpalatable, doused in too much sweet chili sauce, the breading was dark brown. She couldn't finish it because, in her words, it was 'gross'.Our friends both ordered salads because they were going to dinner later, but those seemed to be very plain and mostly composed of iceberg lettuce. They never said anything about their food being of poor quality, so I'll assume the lettuce was fresh. It wouldn't be fair to the restaurant to speculate about quality.Service was pretty slow when we came, but we were told they were understaffed and that a couple people called off. Our server was pretty nice, so I won't blame her for the food or shortage of servers.We won't return and I'm sorry I suggested this place to our friends in from Alaska.

My mother in law and I came here last week and sat out on the patio. After reading mixed reviews, I wasn't sure what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised at how good the food was! The server checked on us often and we enjoyed being able to eat outdoors on a nice evening. The patio is large and private with outdoor games to play. We ordered the loaded skins appetizer, she had the Asian chicken salad (it was huge and looked amazing!) and I had the chicken bacon ranch wrap. I was shocked at how great this wrap was. Large, with crispy fries, I couldn't finish it all. If you are like me and were on the fence about trying this place, give it a shot! There's a variety of entrees to suit most tastes and the food was very good.

Lunch with the wife. She had chicken marsala and I had a Chicken Ceasar Salad. She said the Marsala was good and the portion was large. My Salad was excellent and also a huge portion. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. Red Hawk never disappoints! And it is nearly time of the year for lunch on the patio.

What a wonderful experience at Redhawk. I visited this restaurant this past Sunday and I was very impressed with their draft beer selection. The food also was extremely delicious, I had their deep dish Rueben pierogis and my wife had the New Orleans Jambalaya which both were fantastic. This is a must try if you're in the area.

Spent $200 on bar food dinner for 5 people= not nearly worth it One of my guests asked for a sample of a micro beer they promote and was told they don't give samples The service was sub par all the way from start to finish and the food was "meh" at best Yes, they have a nice outdoor area but give up the patio and you can do much better at this price level in lake county

Beautiful day, sat on the patio. We were seated quickly server came quick for drink orders. After quite a rough time of selecting only one item, orders were taken quick. Being that we were all family, we all shared a bite. Everything was very good. Highly recommend a visit to the patio.

the food was good and our server was good also but we could not finish our food and had to take it home cause there was fruit flies all around us . We do not expect to go in a restaurant and have to sit there and swat the flies away never had that issue in other restaurants so we will not be back

Tried it twice before. This was third strike your out! HORRIBLE food. Boneless wings were so hard they were inedible!!! Had multiple people with us, very dissatisfied with their food. The drinks weren't even good! Never ever again!!
