This was the second stop of our Butler Brewery Tour and the second best of the night. It was a Friday night and the place was pretty packed. One table opened up and a waitress quickly cleared it off for us.Service was prompt and friendly. We did not order food so I can not speak to that, although what I saw coming out of the kitchen looked good. They also offer wine for those non-beer drinkers. The place has an industrial feel to it and Jeep theme. The bar is small, there are many tables in the main room. I also noticed picnic tables in the brewery area for additional seating.I ordered a flight to try a variety, which is my usual when visiting a new brewery. I ordered Braver Wee, Alt-Heimer, Fixed the Newel Post, and Azote. The Braver Wee and Azote were my favorite two do the bunch. I think it was the Alt-heimer that had a weird finish to it. The beers were all decent, but none blew me away. It's a solid brewery for sure, but I'm always looking for that wow moment. If I venture to Butler again I would return and give Recon another try.

I can't remember the last time I was greeted by such friendliness in an eating establishment. I ordered carryout (burgers, salads and flatbread) and everything was delicious. Freshest salad I've had in a long time. Their menu is limited, but the cheerful service alone, makes this place worth visiting and to get 5 stars from me, is sayin' somethin'... I highly recommend.

Recon is the best craft beer in the area. It is a must stop when I am back in town. My favorites are their New England IPAs and sours. All of the bartenders are knowledgeable and will make a recommendation if needed. Their food is also amazing. 10/10 recommend if you are in the area and looking for quality beer.

Came here for lunch on a Sunday afternoon and were the first ones here right after opening. Staff was very friendly and the place was very comfortable with a modern/industrial design. To eat, I had the BBQ pulled pork panini. This had slaw and gouda along with the pork. I was definitely pleased with this option. For sides, the only option was chips. We were given BBQ trips, which I am a fan of, but no other options were offered. The food was given in a timely matter. To drink, I had the Alabastard, a white stout. This was a huge plus for me as I have only seen these in the greater Cleveland area before. The beer was solid, and I enjoyed it. The rest of the beer menu looked good, but coming for lunch after a wedding, with a drive home, no more beer was needed.A little ways from the heart of town, but definitely a worthy stop for a couple brews.

My fiancé and I stopped here for a beer and dinner after we hiked at McConnells Mill. The staff made this place what it is. All the staff were super friendly and loved that we had our pup their on the patio! They gave him lots of love, treats and brought out a water bowl for him. The beers were great! I had 2 pumpkin beers with a cinnamon sugar rim. The food was basic brewery food, but tasty. They actually lost our food ticket and when we asked about our food, they apologized and brought us dog tags that would cover our next beers which was super cool!! If we are in the area again we will definitely stop by!!

We drove up to Butler from Pittsburgh to brewery hop and our first stop was Recon. I love the Jeep theme as an homage to the Bantam! We arrived and appreciated the ease of the large parking lot to the side. It was a nice day and the garage door was open so we snagged a table near that to enjoy the breeze. The menu has lots of options - snacks, flatbreads and sandwiches. I don't drink beer so I appreciate the fact that they offer wine! My husband enjoyed their beers. Our server recommended he try the Alabastard - it was unique but ended up being his favorite out of the flight he ordered.

We stopped on a Sunday afternoon for lunch. I had their 14 Leatherheads beer, which is an amber lager. It was good. We were not drinking a lot since we had been to a wedding the night before. For lunch, the southwest chicken wrap hit the spot. It was lightly grilled, ad came with a bag of chipotle chips and some pickle slices.

The atmosphere and theme of this restaurant is great! Perfect for fans of Jeeps with signs, grills, and other memorabilia on the walls. But also a casual rustic environment to make anyone feel welcome and comfortable to stay for awhile. The beer selection covers a wide variety of flavors and types, some changing based on the season. I ordered the seasonal cider and was greatly surprised and delighted when it tasted like apple pie. The hint of cinnamon with each sip made this cider easy and refreshing to drink. The food on the other hand is kind of disappointing. We ordered the buffalo chicken dip and chips as an appetizer. While the dip was delicious and had a nice spiciness level, the portion of the dip was small. Not even the small amount of chips in the dish could all have a scoop of dip on them. It also took about 25mins to get our appetizer; however this might have been due to the crowd level that night. I also ordered the Southwest Panini and wasn't really impressed. The turkey was a few deli slices and I had to legitimately look to see if bacon was on it. After opening my sandwich I could see one floppy thin piece of bacon. The chipotle mayo on the panini was good and had a nice small kick that added to the flavor. Overall, the space itself is cool and they serve great drinks, but dont expect anything special for food.

Stopped for lunch. My wife had a average size gyro and I had a medium size Italian sub. A small side dish and pop. Food was average. Service was good Price with tip came to $52. To compare, I can get 10 good size subs with drinks from a reputable pizza shop for the same price. We will never go back only due to price.
