I kept going back between three to four stars. I ordered this off Uber eats so I did not have any interaction with the restaurant. The reason I am going back and forth between the stars is because the meat portion is very small. The rice was amazing but then you get a small side of a salad? It had no dressing but was one onion slice, one tomato, and some lettuce. The stew chicken came with one big piece and two small pieces. I ate it all in one sitting. Overall the taste was amazing. The portion was not.

I'm so glad I FINALLY tried this place today. I ordered through Uber Eats and got my food about 40 minutes later. I ordered the chicken milanesa, a cheese empanada, and I got a side of sweet plantains. The price was pretty reasonable for such a large portion! I would definitely say two people could comfortably share these items. I personally liked the portions, as a Latina, because that's what I'm used to.The chicken dish came with rice and beans - I picked the white rice and regular beans. You could have picked from a few combinations. This dish came with a small side salad too. The flavors were authentic and I will definitely be ordered this again. The side of sweet plantains offers almost a full plantain in its portion size. I would definitely order this again. I will say, I like mine a bit crisper and these were pretty moist/mushy. Still delicious and really more of a point of preference! The cheese empanda had the dough I'm used to and was cooked perfectly! The cheese was some mix of yellow cheese and I prefer mozzarella in them. This is a point of preference also - if you like cheese empanadas, you'll be happy with this one.All in all - I'll be ordering again REALLY SOON!

This was my time at this restaurant. The lady at the front desk was more than accommodating. She walked me thru explaining the menu and translating the menu. She gave a recommendation and my food was delicious. I had fried plantains, and one seafood and one chicken empanidilla. The customer service was awesome, and I will be back.

A low-key store front belies the hearty, savory food emerging from the kitchen in this Dominican staple! A friend and I parked along the curb out front for our first time here, not being quite sure whether there were better/legal parking options elsewhere. It was a little past normal lunch hour, so business was slow but we seemed to be the only non-regulars. Most people called in their order, hung around to chat a bit in Spanish when picking up their order, then went on with their life. We dined in at one of the booths along the wall, the other wall being occupied by a vacant bar. The hostess was welcoming but pretty hands-off and tolerated our butchering of the names of the Dominican dishes and provided us a pitcher of ice water and two glasses. You can request a few lime slices with yours if that's your thing. Both my order of Stewed Chicken w/ Beans and Rice (Habichuela y Arroz con Pollo Guisado) and my friend's Shrimp Mofongo (Mofongo con Camarones) came with a simple salad. I wanted to try the Stewed Beef instead, but it wasn't available. The shrimp in her dish were little flavor-bombs, each and every one. My chicken was just on the upper side of average, but the stew itself made for an oily, yummy mess when drizzled over my rice. The beans for my dish came in a separate soup cup to be mixed in as I pleased. Both dishes were pretty filling - a siesta will definitely be in order if eating here for lunch!

I hate leaving a great review for this place. I'm selfish. This is the best place in the area. The fried pork is amazing. And just when you think it can't get better. Boom stewed beef. Dear lord Jesus help me get some more. I'll be back very soon.

The prices on the menu needs to be updated. Thinking that I was going to spend $30 (based on the prices on the menu) I ended up spending $51!!!Also a 20% tip was added to the total making it $61!!!! Sides on the menu are $4, but I was charged $8!!! And it was take out!!! Don't go by the prices on the menu. Prices are actually double!!! The food was ok but not worth $61!!! For takeout!!! Don't think we will go back!!!

This is a community. People come to meet and talk and play games. The owner recognizes we are newbies and stops by to thank us for coming. The food was delicious - Dominican, as was the clientele. It's a good thing.

Went with the group and really enjoyed the food. I went with the goat and was loving it. The owner said it was marinated in herbs and beer in the morning. The flan was probably the best I've ever had, also homemade at the restaurant. Give Dominican food a try, interesting to explore the subtleties of the different Latin cuisines.
