Pyramid Soul Food & Grill

Super disappointed. I had high hopes for this place. The pictures of the food looked amazing. I ordered from door dash. I ordered two chicken over rice bowls. (Chicken rice mushrooms peppers onions with gravy) We added our specifics and waited for our food to arrive. When we got our food it had ingredients that they did not mentioned on the menu. The menu says it came with gravy but when we got our food it was cheese and ranch. And the menu failed to mention the collard greens that would be in it. The food would have been great but it was slopped together all wrong.

Came here to try it out. It is Tuesday at 7:45pm and the place is closed. Hours of operation the door say its open until 11pm. Disappointing...

Ok so against my better judgement I went back. I ordered a pick up order via skip the dishes. I got there to a very obnoxious dominant male cooking. There was also one other younger male cooking. Both needed help, the younger male was being demeaned consistently in front of everyone. Ok fine. I came for food, the dominant male brings my food out. He starts to check it in the open when it should have been done in back. He tells the young man he should have cut the ribs. I told him it was ok as I was tired of waiting. He told me your early for real for real. I replied I was not. He then turned back his opened my food again telling the young man to cut the ribs. The young had just come from outside without gloves. I walked out as it was a cash order and I was disgusted. NEVER AGAIN! 25.00 saved on to Wendy's I went.

The banana pudding is super bomb! I love it buttttt I ordered from them multiple times via door-dash. It says it's open, when it's not after I already paid. DoorDash usually refunds it which is good. Its annoying but when they are actually open, the banana pudding is my go too!

This place just opened up the street from my job today. I went in and got a Polish Boy (5$) combo (+1.25$) and a side of waffle fries (3$). The combo was an extra 1.25 and translated into a can of Pepsi. Polish Boy was ok, seemed small but for 5 bucks it was fine. Hot dog bun not the thicker po'boy bun so, meh. It had 3 of my waffle fries on it and no fries of its own. I wonder if i hadn't gotten fries if it would have had any fries, long fries, or what. Cole slaw was very creamy and good on the polish boy. Fries were good but not stellar. They offered ketchup but not bbq sauce for the fries (maybe i didn't look like the bbq sauce on fries type, despite ordering a polish boy). They just opened so they don't know how to enter orders, or who has what order yet, so remember your order number. Hopefully that changes. Order took twice as long as promised. No carry out menus printed for grand opening, bad idea. Will try again and get something else for variety.

Here is the good and the bad. The food is good, but they got my order wrong. Hear me out though. Customer service is top notch. I ordered from postmates since I was visiting OH from Cali. Initially they got my order wrong. I called them to let them know. They asked if I could come get it but again I was visiting and couldn't get there. The owner literally brought the food to me to make the order right. I think that is exceptional. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for soul food. The honey hot wings were delicious as was the mac n cheese.

I was totally dissatisfied with my whole meal. I ordered a perch dinner with mac and cheese and dressing for sides. The fish was soggy and looked weird with no flavor at all. Both sides were bland. I also ordered the pyramid rolls with steak which was also soggy and absolutely no flavor at all and it comes with barbecue sauce that didn't compliment it at all. I won't be back!
