I've never had Salvadorian food, let alone pupusas before! I did not know what to expect, but the pupusas were delicious! I ordered the Spinach and Mozzarella Cheese and The Special with refried beans, cheese and meat. The size of the pupusas were bigger than I thought, because I also ordered a Ham Torta. The Torta pretty much just tasted like a deli sandwich, nothing special in particular. Definitely get the pupusas though while you are here!

Love this little gem of a restaurant. Have dined here several times and tried different items from their menu. Always a friendly service. Love their desayuno típico and all of their pupusas are excellent. On this occasion I had the tacos and hubby the torta which is always excellent. Can't go wrong with any item on their menu

My waitress either didn't speak English or chose not to. No matter. My accent is good enough I guess. I got what I ordered so...The pastor was really good. The chorizo was pretty good. Not the best I've had. There are other more interesting things on the menu that I will have to try next time. This might be a five star spot and I don't know it yet.

Flavorless. Everything I ordered and I ordered a huge variety off DoorDash was disgusting. No seasoning nearly any meat. Unless you're ordering a taco just skip this place in fact just skip it all together it's absolutely trash

Ugh so good and such a good find!! This is an authentic restaurant serving El Salvadoran food including pupusas as the name suggests. Their pupusas are homemade, masa corn flour cakes stuffed with a variety of different ingredients like refried beans, meat, and/or cheese. I'm usually a "phone eats first" kind of girl, but the food was so good we ended up just digging in so unforunately, no pics for the review :( We did take out and the food was piping hot even after a 20 minute drive back. We ordered a variety of pupusas: de queso, picante, queso con lorco, pollo, and reveultas. The order was very affordable at a price you just can't beat (2.50/pupusa), and these babies were a very generous portion size. I was stuffed after eating about 2 and a half pupusas! My favorites were the queso con lorco (cheese with Salvadorian edible flower) and revueltas (a combo of refried beans, cheese, and chicharron). The pupusas come with a salsa roja and curtido (El Salvadoran slaw). The combination is perfect!! I will definitely be coming again to check out some of their other menu items!

If I could give 6 stars, I would. Pupuseria y Antojitos Guanaquitas is a refreshingly authentic El Salvadoran restaurant. Whenever I'm craving a hearty meal, my mind always wanders to their pupusa picante. Served piping hot, the jalapeño and cheese filling is so flavorful and juicy. The red sauce and pickled vegetables that you pour on top complement the pupusa very well. I typically feel very full after two pupusas, but usually buy more so that I can make it into two meals. With each pupusa only being $2.50, this may be the biggest bang for your buck that I've seen in Cleveland. Not to get jalapeño business, but what are you waiting for??

On our overnight visit to Cleveland, we stumbled upon this place because it was within walking distance of our airbnb. What a find! The two of us were delighted with our orders: Pupusa Loroco (flatbread with cheese and Salvadoran edible flower), Pupusa Vegana (flatbread with spinach, zuccini and lorocco flower), Pollo Frito (fried chicken but without breading) and Plato de Chicharrones (don't remember what all was on this, sorry). This is Salvadoran food. Fortunately, our airbnb had a fridge so we were able to ask for take-away containers for the food we couldn't eat. Service was prompt, friendly, portions were large.
