Located in Willoughby Hills at the corner of SOM Center and Route 6, Produce Place Market is a great option for fresh fruits and vegetables along with other food. The fruit and vegetables are fresh and the prices are usually lower then you will find at your grocery store. They do a nice job of keeping everything clean and organized. They have a nice little bakery, deli and packaged foods. I usually find something new most times I visit since they rotate in different products, including beer and wines. The staff is always friendly and helpful.Although a bit outside my usual neighborhood, Produce Place Market is always worth a visit to stock my kitchen when I am in the area. They have a second location on Mayfield Road.

Yesterday was my last visit to this place. Strawberries (on sale) rotten, green grapes looked OK, brown this morning, blue berries squishy (ok to bake with). Better produce at ALDE!

There are 2 of these locations. This one in Willoughby and one in Lyndhurst. I have to preface. I am very partial to the one in Lyndhurst. I like it better. Produce is great. Prices are great. Variety is great. The deli is stellar. Honestly, i love that deli. Lots of variety and prices are amazing. Again it seems the one in Lyndhurst is better but that's probably just because I go to that one more often. Oh and cheese prices are not bad. Not Trader Joe's good but not bad in a pinch. Lots of teenagers checking you out. Lots of seasonal decorations and options. Just a good stop when you want good produce, deli, and prices.

This is for the Market in Lyndhurst:I love this market!! The prices are always reasonable and everything looks good. The best Black Cherries I could find any place. The deli counter is great also!

Great little market for produce, spices, deli, meat and dairy. I've always been happy with the quality of the stuff they carry. Staff is friendly and great prices. I try to buy as much as I can here to support local business. They have a limited selection of frozen goods, beer & wine, and canned goods as well. I usually find what I need as far as these items. FYI they don't carry paper goods, toiletries, and cleaning supplies.Edit: This is for the Lyndhurst location.

"Don't delay, eat it today!" That is my motto for shopping anywhere you find surprisingly cheap food and Produce Place (where I found a wide variety of fresh fruits and vegetables today) is one such place. A discriminating shopper knows to give everything a gentle squeeze before inviting it into the cart. You are looking for firmness. But soft ain't bad, so long as you can fix it into something soon. As such, I appreciate that Produce Place has a rack, albeit small, for buying "seconds," especially considering that places like Whole Foods chuck out cartloads of perfectly good items as routinely as Hollywood does actresses who turn 30. I wouldn't feign to guess the business model of Produce Place, or why they can price food (including deli meats and cheeses) lower than nearby competitors do, but if the selection is always changing as a result, then I, for one, would not object. This store is cozy, tidy, and clean. They fit a wide range of items into a small space, including some of the "fancy stuff" at affordable prices, and they focus on the fresh stuff - not prepared or imitation food. I could do a complete shop here. Next up: trying the baked goods or spices on for size. Lastly, the staff happened to be very friendly and nice when I went there. The place is one of three locations owned by a local band of brothers. The whole experience is a refreshing detour from every soul-crushing Big Box Mart. Buy local, people! And Produce Place: keep it up with the organic and local foods, too. If this review sounds like a paid promotion: sorry, it's not. Though I might consider an offer...of one of those 5-pound bags of frozen fruit. Yes. For those confused about the "Sun Plum" reviews, here is the explanation:http://s.cleveland.com/2pnDB2Y

Love this place. Love the original on Chardon and Som. Great produce, wonderful selection and great pricing. The staff is very helpful and accommodating. It's great to see a local business grow and prosper. Check out the Bourbon Pecan coffee. It's delicious!

This is for the Lyndhurst location only. The cheese smell in that store is unbearable. You need to remove it. The deli prices are great but the service is veeeery slow.

Great place to get fresh produce. Everyone is friendly except for the old man who wears a black baseball hat. I shop there at least once a week and I don't know if he is related to the owners or what and that's why he works there but he always acts as if I'm in his way when he is straightening the apples or bananas, he literally will not move his cart and you have to squeeze in to get near and he stares at you like your taking too long! Other then him I love the place!
