Ukrainian Festival 8-3-14. Wonderful ethnic delicacies, everything tasted great! Grilled chicken kebobs, potato pancakes, authentic borscht, marble cake and kielbasi platter all are highly recommended by this food-fan! Cultural exhibitions, lots of artwork and trinkets on display and for sale. Very comfortable dining hall and outdoor set up for guests. Small children could play on elaborately set up playgrounds. The outside grill area was set up only after the festivities had long started. Many guest were told to be patient, as the staff was still preparing the grill area. This could have been done in advance instead of having guests wait, many for as long as an hour, to enjoy the "outdoor menu". Guests were asked to purchase "tickets" rather than pay for their meals in cash. This seems somewhat old fashioned, reminiscent of an old time carnival or school fair. Some guests were calculating the exact amount required to pay for food, buying the needed tickets in advance. "17 tickets, please!". This is embarrassing for both the staff and the guests. This inconvenient practice is the reason I couldn't give a 5 star rating for an otherwise very enjoyable outing.

I attended the wedding of a relative on July 25, 2015. The venue was privately situated off a main road with ample parking. The hall was exceptionally clean. All seemed to be going well until the food service began. Two women served plates of food (family style) to several tables in a rushed manner. It still took more than thirty minutes for my table to be served. Thank goodness the rolls snd butter had been served about twenty minutes before the other dishes were being served as we had something to stave off the hunger. The food all tasted good; however, all of the food, (chicken, roast beef, mashed potatoes, gravy, mixed vegetables) were ALL at room temperature or cooler. After the caterers removed the dishes, coffee was served about one-half hour later. Coffee cream was not put on the tables until another fifteen minutes had passed. A very tasty slice of cake was given to each guest but, since the caterers had removed all the silverware except for teaspoons, we had to use our teaspoons to eat our cake. For as many guests that were present, there should have been at least two more servers. It seemed to me that this catering service was inexperienced and disorganized. This was a very disappoimting experience and I will not recommend this venue to anyone.
