Plymouth Tavern

So glad I found this local gem thru Yelp! From the pleasant hostess to our charming waiter, the experience was top notch. Seated quickly (in the courtyard at our request), drink order taken & served within minutes. We ordered ice tea, Philly steak, chicken Philly & spicy chicken sandwiches. The order came out quickly and was absolutely wonderful! The fries were hot & crisp; the chicken Philly was warm with melty cheese and grilled onions. The steak Philly had real ribeye perfectly done. Spicy chicken wasn't too spicy and had great flavor. We had to try the cheesecake....after all it's rumored to be the best in Erie! They had key lime & chocolate chip cheesecake - both were excellent! I'll be sure to stop again when I'm back in town! Would love to have drinks in the courtyard while enjoying an evening with friends.

Stopped for an early dinner and drinks before an art show. There were plenty of tables to choose from. Service was fast and friendly. I love the Plymouth. Have been going here forever! Prices are reasonable. Drinks are always good. Food is not fancy but consistently good quality and tastes great. Feels like home and you always see someone you know. Restaurant is clean and has an outdoor patio as well as a large variety of seating options.

It was ok. Nothing to write home to Yelp about. Whoops. I guess I did. However. The drinks were bland. The food was passing. Don't bother. 3/5 is not good at people. Go somewhere else for maybe better ok food and more choices on beer.

Food was great but what was even better, was April's service. Her attention to detail, friendly banter, and all around great vibe was 5 star worthy. A true super star employee.

Food was good. Bartender was kind. Patio is very cute. I would come again if I visited Erie.

Went there with friends and family during a recent visit to my hometown. This is a very popular place with locals and I can see why.It has an extensive beer list, including local craft brews/drafts. The food is reasonably priced and good ($10 for fish and chips. They use Cod, so it doesn't get any better). Service was quite good. Despite it being very busy, our waitress was attentive and had help.

Erie's answer to a Cheers type of establishment. Good food, drinks, and atmosphere. Tuesday night is trivia night with Tammy & John. Great fun, but be sure to reserve a table in advance. Often it's capacity competition! Delicious soups. Tuesday was Chili and Chicken Broccoli Casserole soup. The strange sounding soup was amazing and I'm not a fan of broccoli soups. However I will order this whenever it's on the menu. Never can pass up a fried pretzel for a great snack!Hope they make it a daily offering. Haven't met a poor server but Brian is usually the star of B bar and Libby is always on top of what you need. .

My review concerns the TUESDAY TRIVIA NIGHT. The trivia is run by an obnoxious, overweight blond woman, who makes constant mistakes in accuracy, as well as, literacy...for Christ's sake, put someone in there who knows how to read!!..also...if you make a mistake on a trivia question, you should own up to it and not immediately be defensive of your error..instead, make the error known and fix it...all in all, I'm dumber for having listened to her and am grateful to not be there.PS...5 stars to Plymouth Tavern staff and servers..great food, great service and friendly.I hope they fire the blond quizter soon!!

Stopped there last night before a concert and it was fairly busy. We were waited on promptly. I had the crispy chicken salad and my husband had the tomato/shrimp chowder. Both were delicious. The only downside was it took us a bit to receive our drinks and we ended up with 2 each because 2 different people waited on us initially. Workers are always great.

Try it You will Love it! A Home Town feel, even if this is not your home town. Walk in and immediately relax with good service, tasty meals, and all your favorite drinks!
