Crab puffs or pork won ton. I can't remember.

I just moved here, so I'm interested in trying out all these new restaurants (to me), especially small businesses during this COVID-19 nonsense. And I'm glad to say for all future restaurant excursions, there's no possible way my expectations of the local cuisine can be any lower than what they are now.I used a delivery service to order a beef chow mein combination plate. I got my pork egg roll, a few cuts of beef, cabbage, carrots, onions, bean sprouts, and flavorless fried rice (no egg, corn, onions, peas, or carrots in the rice, so I would have been more satisfied with Panda Express). That's it. I literally did not get any chow mein in my meal. It's almost laughable, actually. The UberEats driver was more deserving of $10.25 than the restaurant was.

Walked in and the woman (the owner I think) was babbling and yelling to herself. She eventually noticed us, and took our orders, babbling and cackling while cooking. She did not wear gloves nor did she have her hair tied back. No clue how they haven't been shut down by the health inspector. I finally got my general tso's chicken and it was horrible. It was so crunchy I couldn't use my fork to eat it. The rice was also bad. The only redeeming feature was that the white dude with tattoos was super nice.

Worst Chinese food EVER! Went here on Christmas Eve and ordered Gen. Tso's chicken and shrimp&broccoli. The Gen Tso's tasted liked it was cooked days ago and received that night. It was inedible. The shrimp was mushy and old. Called the day after Christmas to let them know about the quality of food and to get a refund. I was told that I should've called on Christmas if it was really an issue. Needless to say I'm done. My family wasted $21 bit will never spend another dime in that place.

Where do I start with this place... is the service indifferent if not outright rude? Yes. Have I been told to order something else because they didn't feel like making it? Yes. Is the food exceptional? Not really. Do I love this place? Yes. As masochistic as it sounds, I've come to enjoy and expect these aspects when I visit here. The lobby feels as if you've been transported to an alternate reality. It features delightfully tacky (and sparkly) laminate and scenic stock image landscapes that have to date back to the 90s. There are glass cases that inexplicably say "gifts" and feature various baubles and iPhone 5 cases. As for the food, I tend to order the general tso's chicken extra spicy (yes, they charge a dollar extra for this) and I'm rarely disappointed. They use smaller, crispier pieces of chicken which I actually prefer. At the end of the day, this is a no-frills (I mean, none) Chinese restaurant serving up familiar dishes in a not-so-friendly atmosphere.

That five star rating applies to one dish and one dish only: bourbon chicken. The owner is a jackass, the service sucks, they're annoyingly slow. But dear G-d....I will slaughter babies for their bourbon chicken. I don't care if it's cat/dog/rat/whatever, the stuff is like crack.

We used to order food from here quite a bit and were very happy with the food and service. We hadn't in awhile and now I know why. When we got our order tonight they forgot two egg rolls, white rice and 2 dumpling sauces. To top it off they delivered after they closed so we couldn't complain. Just selfish. My advice...skip it. Go to House of Hunan...it's not that much further away and worlds better.

I have written a few reviews of Chinese cuisine (read: I eat a lot of Chinese food) but this one, I feel will flow easily. I've lived a mile from Platinum Dragon for 7 years now and have heard people rave about how good the food is. I actually got into an argument with my sister the other day about the quality of the steamed dumplings being the best ever (didn't believe it when she told me, don't believe it now that I've had them) (btw - Chieng's Express on Portage in North Canton holds the title for me) - that's right folks, she felt passionately enough about the quality of the food here to argue that it was better food than a place she's never been to.It's all the talk of completely crazy people. You're all nuts and I was left feeling cheated! Is this some kind of Akron initiation routine? To the facts: the location is kind of cool - hip, urban - yet dingy - small storefront in Highland Square. The service is pitiful - seriously, the guy that took my order was a complete bag. The food was of low quality. There's no other way to describe it. We got the General Tso which was quite good. Per the glowing reviews we tried the Bourbon Chicken which looked good, smelled questionable and consisted of more fatty, gristly pieces than I've known a chicken to have. BBQ Spare Rib appetizer also smelled a bit gamey and was quite low quality cuts of whatever its land-roaming form was. Shrimp egg rolls were tasty as forecasted. Steamed pot-stickers were blah.I see the draw, honestly I do. It's a cool place that I, too wanted to be awesome. In the end, I ate leftovers. You've been warned.

Platinum Dragon! First time experience not too shabby. Got the C30 General Tso extra "spicy". The chicken provides for a nice bite. Surprisingly it has its crispy bits, and despite being heavily sauced (which is a great thing) not just soggy chicken. The temperature of the offerings was also very good, almost as if I got it fresh off of the burner. The vegetable egg roll is a bit skimpy but flavorful and crispy nonetheless can't complain there. Service was ok given a neighborhood Chinese spot. The atmosphere inside is what's to be expected with any restaurant of this style, not necessarily for dining in but the option is there for those that enjoy it. Now for the only downside that sticks out. There is a distinct taste from the sauce used here I'm not sure if this is due to it not being the sweeter style of General Tso that we've grown accustomed to. Weird freshness

Terrible service , terrible food, terrible prices. If I could give them a negative start I would. Don't waste your time and money.
