Pita Way - Rocky River

My husband used to live in Egypt and has a LOT of strong opinions about gyros and shawarma; he's also always especially skeptical of takeaway spots. But... whoa, we both LOVED Pita Way, blowing his skepticism out of the water. We both ordered a sandweech (shawarma, essentially) with gyro meat, feta, onions, tomatoes and white sauce; he added fries to his, while I added garlic sauce and cucumbers to mine. The gyro meat was flavorful, juicy, well-seasoned, and not at all greasy. We also split a side of hummus, which was super creamy and tahini-forward. We did takeout, so I can't really speak to the vibe, but it was busy even on a Saturday evening an hour before closing, and the space was relatively large and very clean. The staff wasn't particularly friendly, seeming a little bit annoyed to have to serve folks so close to the end of the evening. But honestly the food was so good that I've already forgotten about it. (And the next time I went back, which wasn't as close to closing, everyone was great.)We live just down the road and look forward to eating at Pita Way much, much more often!

Regardless of the stars, I just want to say the staff is so friendly and kind the day I came here. There was a line during prime dinner time and they kept the line moving quick.I will say that I think it is a tad expensive (it's the same price as brassica but with cheaper ingredients). I ordered the gyro meat and it was hardly seasoned and very dry. I love the concept and would come back every so often but price to quality didn't seem to match up.

I ordered delivery from Pita Way thru GrubHub and it was great! I had one of the bowls with rice and crispy chicken, hummus, veggies, and the white sauce. It was so good, came quickly, and I had enough for two meals. Pretty sure I'll order again!

First time here and absolutely loved the place! The workers were so welcoming and helped me decide what was best to get. I've had other Mediterranean food before and this by far was the best. Reasonable price and filling! My meal is going to last two to three more meals!

The menu pictures are from May of 2024. The fast casual food at Pita Way was prepared FRESH. The food here reminded me of some of the quick service middle eastern restaurants in Paris.

Really glad I tried this place! As a vegetarian I'm always happy to try new restaurants and this was absolutely fantastic!! The falafel were delicious!!!

Great Hummus. Will be back but only for that. Other fast casual Mediterranean places serve larger portions of well seasoned protein for the same or better prices. Baklava is dry.

Three months ago I would've given this place 5 stars; however, 3 of my last 4 orders have been horrible. 10/13/24 was my last order and it was by far the worst. I called the restaurant and talked to the general manager. Best she could do is offer 50% off my next order if placed in restaurant. This doesn't help when I still need dinner to replace the one I had to throw away.

I was disappointed! It was my first time there and the staff was not friendly. They seemed annoyed when I asked basic questions about how the menu works. No one smiled or said hello. Apparently you can't add any ingredients to your wrap, even if you are willing to pay for them! Although the staff was unfriendly, the food was good. But overall, would not recommend.

Gets one star for the place is clean.So I have eaten food from here before, which my son brought home Chicken shawarma dark meat it was pretty good, but he raved about their Brisket shawarma.Well brisket shawarma is no longer available on the menu.Thought they just open here recently?Went with the Detroit gyro $7.99& pickled turnip side. $.754oz. = a double side so $1.50So Pickled Turnipflavor not bad, fresh & crunchy NOT!GyroThin pita not very fresh Very light on sauceMost importantly Very light on meat.It was edible but not necessarily enjoyable.Return trip not likelyWay to many better and Cost effective (food to $ ratio wise) options available.
