Never realized there was a Phoenix Coffee location in Lakewood. This place is super cute, bright, and airy. There are lots of plants and a few small tables. It's not big, but has a nice cozy vibe. Their coffee is always good, as are the pastries. Great place to spend an afternoon getting work done.

This is a great little Phoenix! Firstly, adjust your expectations, because this location is a lot smaller than their other locations. It's snug, with maybe 10 2-seater tables. It is possible you could stop in and not find a table, but that shouldn't let it stop you. Normally if I wait around for 5-10 minutes, a table opens up.I love this Phoenix because the crowd that frequents here is very respectful. It's a great place to come and work because people are not obnoxious and it seems to be a lot of remote workers. People tend to keep themselves and have headphones on with just light conversation. The chairs are shockingly comfortable despite looking uncomfortable and trendy.I'm not a huge coffee drinker, so one of my favorite things about Phoenix is always the selection of non-coffee drinks. I typically stick with my standard chai tea latte or matcha latte. They also offer muffins and other little sweet snacks, but those tend to go quickly. Overall, this is a nice little Phoenix in Birdtown, and you're sure to like the chill atmosphere.

New, vibrant location of Phoenix located in Lakewood. The storefront is small and modest, but the inside is bright, inviting, and contains a fair amount of seating for solo or double visitors. A larger couch space with small table is also along the back. You'll find the usual Phoenix cafe drinks, some local pastries and bagels, and like more and more of their locations, some plants from Sixth City Cycles on display. Currently there isn't much merch for sale and only a small selection of whole beans located in the back near the plant shelf, but room to expand in the future. This part of Lakewood isn't as busy as Detroit Ave yet, and you can usually find some free street parking along the side streets. Or just pay for the meters on Madison Ave. Business was pretty slow on a weekday when I was there, but the two staff members were very friendly and also got along nicely with the various vendors and regulars who stopped by. Great Wi-Fi and good positioning of outlets for those who need to work. The baristas are also in charge of music selection - the soundtrack was eclectic but tasteful, ranging from old school hip hop to trance. There's a vinyl player in the back and lots of posters for local performers, so clearly they have an appreciation for good beats. An unmarked door at the end of the barista counter with a piece of masking tape reading "Restroom" will lead to a gender-neutral bathroom. It's spacious and kept clean. Just don't forget to lock the door on your way in!

Cute little coffee shop with seating and counter service. Both weekday mornings I visited recently were fairly quiet, and the staff were friendly and efficient. I enjoyed both my chai latte and my vanilla latte. I also tried the Raspberry lemonade scone, which was fruity and moist, and a bagel from the Cleveland bagel company. I will certainly visit again, perhaps to check out the plants for sale in the back!

I was just in the neighborhood so I grabbed a cup of coffee to go, and I couldn't resist trying a chocolate chip cookie. OMG, Lakewood must have some sort of patent on salted chocolate chip cookies. These were right on par with another local bakery that makes delicious cookies like this too. Friendly service and nice, bright clean atmosphere. I didn't have time to stay and drink my coffee there, but I would love to come back here and lounge for a spell.

The coffee is alright, I prefer some other ones in the neighborhood. Good muffin and a bit colder in smaller space

Great coffee and friendly and efficient team!Straightforward menu of drink and pastry options. Birdtown is a great neighborhood to walk around and check out the local shops or Madison Park! I'd recommend trying the iced oat latte or cold brew!

Hot mocha $6 was overpriced and NOT hot. Reparked and went back in to see if I could get warm up and let them know steamer temp not hot enough. Staff response, " It is hot, I steamed it." No point in arguing so I dumped it in the trash and left. Ambiance didn't draw me in to want to sit and enjoy coffee.

First time and won't go back. I cannot remember feeling so unwelcome by staff. The guy working there seemed very angry, slamming chairs and "moving" me along. With all the choices in Lakewood......BTW, the gal working there was nice.
