Stopped in her while I waited for takeout from the spot next door. I never knew this place existed. I think it's primarily a market for Indian restaurants to pick up specialty flours, grains, spices, etc. They do have plenty of items for individual cooking. I asked the attendant to point my in the direction of some cool candies and cookies. Right next to the wide selection of cookies were quick prepare rices and meals. I don't cook too much but love Indian food so I got a few things to try at home. They also had a small freezer section with quick prepare meal items. I got some rice, a chickpea stew and some frozen aloo that I can put in the air fryer. I love Indian food and I'm super excited to try these quick options. I also got a some green chili chutney and some delicious chocolate cookies! The attendant was friendly and helped me choose between two different stews to make my take home meal!

When you're craving spicy curry powder and the supermarket stuff just won't do, you go to Parivar Spice Mart. They have a large selection of powders, but I was interested in curry. They offered a mild and a hot curry powder. The mild one I bought already had no heat whatsoever, so I bought a hot one recently. I plan to mix the two together in a certain ratio to ensure my curried veggies are yummy.I drain and dump corn, tomatoes, carrots, spinach, great northern beans, and sliced water chestnuts into a pan with coconut milk and this curry powder. I heat it up and eat it in under 30 minutes. It's really good, but totally dependent on the quality and flavor of the curry powder I put in it. My wife hates the smell and flavor or curry, so she throws away my curry powder when she finds it hidden in the cupboard. Each time she does that, I have to buy more. It's kind of annoying, really.Anyway, I recommend this place if you're in the area and like to make your own yummy dishes.

Small unassuming Indian grocery store in the booming tropical paradise called Mayfield Hts. After watching the super bowl, when the word GOAT is mentioned you may be thinking Greatest of All Time. Here, goat means , cabra and it is stocked on the weekends. So for all your goat needs, be it curries, pazole or just for sacrificial purposes they have you covered. Did I mention they have a small country's worth of spices, dried goods, refrigerated and and frozen vittles. Oh I am a Papadam addict and just recently learned they can be fixed in the Yankee oven. Mind blown.

What a wonderful store! It's small, but packed with anything you might need to make an Indian feast. I've been on the hunt for a place that sells curry leaves, and they have both fresh and dried here, in abundance - not something that I've been able to find at any of the stores closer to my home. (Many of the Middle Eastern markets in the area - Rumi's, or even Almadina or Holyland imports off Lorain Ave - will tend to have at least an aisle of Indian spice mixes and dried goods, but not curry leaves).Other bonuses include quality snack mixes (why buy the Trader Joe's Spicy Chakri mix when you can get the original here?) and super nice owners who will give you recipe suggestions if you can't decide what to make.
