I don't think I'll go to any other place if I'm ever in need of a cake. I called in the afternoon the day before I needed the cake to be done (very last minute a friend was coming in town for his birthday). I had called 4 other bakeries before calling Pallotta's and they were able to get this done for me with less than 24 hours notice. The cake turned out great (missing a couple leaves but A for effort lol) and tasted amazing. Thanks a lot!

My family always uses Pallotta's, a cake shop you'd probably only know about it if you were a local or it was recommended to you. The shop is a simple, no-frills type of place, but wow are their cakes fantastic. Our favorite is their "Ho Ho Cake" which is made similar to a Hostess Ho-Ho. Their rich chocolate cake has fluffy cream and different consistencies of chocolate between the layers. As far as prices go, they aren't exorbitant, especially for what you get, but I wouldn't buy one of their gourmet cakes to use at your baby's first birthday as a smash cake, if you know what I mean. We mainly buy Palottas for special occasions, and everyone always raves about how amazing the cake is. They actually made my wedding cake almost 8 years ago, and it was perfection!Tip: Call in to order your cake well in advance of your event. Their schedule often fills up.

Great place for a tasty meal and baked goods, and the service is very good. Nice place to sit and dine with tables and chairs.

Simply the best. Blows the bake shop by Old Carolina in Fairlawn and West Side Market's little shop by Sand Run out of the water. Reminds me of my own family's homemade Italian baked goods. Maybe even better . I love the gals who serve up the goods from behind the counter - they are so sweet. Tip them well. :)

This bakery is a gem in Cuyahoga Falls. The case of cookies, muffins, and cakes are enough to satisfy any sweet tooth, but with their new menu of breakfast and lunch items, this is becoming a go-to eatery in the area. I ate a hot Italian sub and a luscious bowl of Chicken Noodle soup, and I could barely finish it. Their pepperoni rolls and garlic bread are too good for words. They are amazingly friendly, will bend over backwards for their customers, and always aim to please both the walk-in and call-ahead customers. I ordered a special pineapple cake, and what they provided to me was a work of art, both delicious and reasonably priced. I always value small businesses, but especially the ones always seeking to keep it fresh!

I'm going to be nice and give this spot 2*. Popped in to check it out as I was in the area the other day. Overall meh feel when I walked in. Sort of tacky decor inside that felt dated even though I don't think it is or supposed to be. Pastries and danishes looked meh. Cookies looked decent. Ordered 4 mini cannolis to take home. Filled to order which is nice but $1.75/each for a mini cannoli the size of my thumb is a bit much! Shell was good but the filling tasted more like pure cream cheese than ricotta or mascarpone. Furthermore, the girl taking my order at the register was coughing up a storm and clearly sick. Coughed all over her hand before taking my credit card to run in the same hand. No hand sanitizer in the store that I saw. No gloves used by anybody in there and orders/pastries being touched by bare hands then given to customers. Really irresponsible given the circumstances out there. How could they even justify having this chick working let alone right at a register and bakery case! Maybe their savory stuff is good but I'd avoid this place all together since they clearly are not taking any health warnings seriously. There's a bakery up the street that blow them out of the water regardless in The Blue Door.

I have been getting cakes from Pallotta's for years for all occassions. My mom always gets my birthday cake here as well. It's been a tradition that I cherish. You will not be disappointed. It will probably be your new favorite place. Also, we are losing local bakers all the time (like Crest Bakery) in Akron. We need to support them before we have to get our bake goods from Walmart (Yuck).

Get your cakes somewhere else:I ordered a 12 inch square peanut butter ho ho cake for a large party. The chocolate cake was dry, the peanut butter filling was coupled with buttercream filling and was nearly non-existent peanut butter. The white icing on the cake was nearly ¾ of an inch thick and way too thick for even an icing lover. I had personally gone in to discuss decorating on the cake with the cake decorator that was supposed to make the cake. After much discussion and her taking many notes, the cake was not decorated as we had discussed, though I wasn't the person picking it up so I couldn't give feedback immediately.. In the past when I have ordered cakes from Pallottas, there wasn't any cake left because guests loved it so much that they even had additional pieces. This time was vastly different because there was a lot of cake thrown out. It seemed people had taken 2 bites and didn't like it either. It was a huge disappointment after spending over $100 on a cake. I did call and speak to Mike the owner who reluctantly said that they "missed the mark" this time and reluctantly offered "a discount on the next cake that I ordered from them". When I pressed him about how much of a discount that would be, he responded that it would depend on what I ordered. Not getting any satisfaction in the moment just added insult to injury. I won't be returning back to Pallotta's Bakery ever and I don't believe that any of the 30 guests at my event will used them for a cake either. I don't need to run across town when there are bakeries that are local to me that actually deliver on what they promise. This certainly wasn't the experience that I had expected from a bakery that I had used for events for the past 25 years.

This place was a hidden gem that I am so thankful to have found. Breakfast is not only delicious and quick but so well priced. And who doesn't love brunch that you can take home cookies afterward!
