Over Easy At The Depot

This used to be the old Pufferbelly. An old train station, lovely setting, staff was extremely friendly, completent and helpful, food was great. Definately worth going a little out of your way to visit.

If you decide to eat here, avoid the Classic Eggs Benedict. It is inedible, as are the biscuits and gravy. The former offers tiny eggs, with broken yolks sitting on a piece of toast that is as tough as leather. The latter offers dry biscuits and a scattering of turkey gravy. Add the pancakes, particularly their giant pancake, to the mix. They are also dry and tasteless. If you plan on conversing while eating, you should go elsewhere. Set in the old depot, the high ceilings make everything very noisy. Because diners cannot hear each other, they are forced to talk louder, which adds to the already noisy environment.Inexplicably, the meals are served on huge plates, making the portions look small, which they are in many cases. I cannot recommend this restaurant. There are better places to eat in Kent, Ohio.

Great atmosphere, service and food. Simple enough. I definitely recommend this place!

Stopped in for breakfast at Over Easy this morning and made sure to make reservations the day before because this place is always busy. My fiancée got the breakfast tacos as they were the most recommended thing for people that are gluten free and she enjoyed them. I got the big boy platter and enjoyed the food but I felt for the size of the meal the platter was wayyyy too big. It would have fit better on a smaller plate. The toast was delicious but I forgot to ask for jelly and that was on me. The other meals were also a success! Highly recommended just note it a smaller place so plan accordingly.

Food was bland and I had probably the worst cold brew coffee in my entire life. It was undrinkable and I'm not a coffee snob. The location is fine and had no issues with service.

Had breakfast here. Nice space with different salt/pepper shakers on every table that add a fun vibe. They also have funny vinyl stickers for purchase that are fun. The house Bloody Mary is phenomenal and you have to try the candied bacon! My son got the Belgian waffle, Depot size with pork sausage and sunny side up eggs. The eggs were cooked to perfection! I got a skillet with Bison chili. It was all really good. Great service too!

Just a quick breakfast on a Monday morning!The place looks really nice and wanted to try it out. The location is convenient, the restaurant is amazing, the food was okay. Maybe it's my expectation but I got the corned beef breakfast, with rye toast and over easy eggs. It was fresh corned beef, but not a lot of it. The texture relied on the cabbage and uncooked red onions. There were a lot of potatoes, and they were tasty. The coffee was great, good taste and the service was friendly; a bit pricey for breakfast but not too expensive. My wife got the classic, eggs, toast, sausage and hash browns. The sausage were cooked to a crisp, but juicy inside. We may come back with the kids to let them enjoy the place but otherwise, being half-an-hour away....we may just go to our local breakfast place.

My husband had the avocado toast & liked it very much. I got a breakfast bowl & it was so good! I couldn't finish it all & hubby was happy to help out. The service was excellent & the atmosphere is very charming. You will not be disappointed!

Food was good. Seemed clean and the wait staff was friendly and attentive. I had the tacos which taste great however could have given a few more taters for a $16 breakfast. Other guests had a waffle and a frikin HUGE pancake. They enjoyed their meals as well.

I'd give this place zero star if possible. This place was decent when it first opened, now it's terrible!! Charlie the waiter was great- food sucks!, cold , flavorless, over cooked.. now I understand why they've had a help wanted sign out for months. Last time we were there part of the kitchen staff walked out.
