If you're looking for a cozy spot with delicious food and great service, Otani Noodle Downtown is the place to go! We tried the char siu noodles, chicken katsu curry don on rice, miso soup, and vegetable spring rolls--and every bite was spectacular. The flavors were perfectly balanced--not too overpowering but definitely packed with the right amount of taste to keep you satisfied. The portions were generous, leaving us full and happy, and the prices were very reasonable for the quality and quantity of food. The ambiance was a pleasant surprise. It wasn't too crowded when we went, so it had a peaceful, homey vibe. The background sounds of cooking and soft music added a nice touch. Plus, each table had its own set of sauces, which made customizing our dishes super convenient.Highly recommend this spot for a casual yet memorable dining experience. We'll definitely be back!

Not the most authentic ramen, but still goodI've been slurping ramen the world over and always been one of my go to comfort food. So ramen in downtown Cleveland? Sounds highly suspicious but still worth a try.Went on a weekdays night, and place was fairly empty. Only a few people coming in and out for takeout. Menu is fairly standard with your typical tonkatsu / should ramen and standard toppings.Got a tonkatsu ramen, came out fairly quickly and hot. Portion size is definitely good, was full coming out. Broth was ok... missing some umami but still had good flavor. Noodles were cooked well, pork slightly chewy but flavor fine. And toppings were plentiful.Probably as good as you can expect in Cleveland

I have never had a bad experience at Otani Noodle. I've gone several times, what I loved! Is when you order take away they keep the broth separate from the noodles so everything doesn't get soft while your driving home absolutely wonderful. The place gives a cute Asian noodle aesthetic, it's never been busy busy but I see people walking in and getting food all the time. They have two locations and the quality of food at both is great! My friend my Michigan raves about the one time I took him!

Visted Otani Noodle again with the same co-worker that I have been visiting Otani with for 13 years. On this visit we, both requested a #1 Char Siu, which includes roasted pork, noodles, scallions, mushrooms, seaweed, corn, and half a boiled egg. They have four different broths for the ramen. The Char Siu includes tonkotsu broth, which was delicious. The flavors of the bowl were excellent and my co-worker especially loved the pork. I'd definitely request this bowl again, but I need to try some other things on the menu.Very good ramen!

I've been going to downtown otani and the university since I was in college and I still go!! They have the best ramen in town. I also am in love with the Kami salad. The one in downtown is a little more updated and much more spacious. The one in university is like a cute little Korean ramen place. The service is quick and everyone's accommodating. Can't wait to drag my bf here again:)

The food is good, has good flavor and is what I expected. The service is very relaxed and there is little interaction, which can be either good or bad depending on preference, it did not bother me. The ambiance is very relaxed and it was a good spot to grab a quick lunch

The reviews were relatively good but this place was disappointing. The vegetarian ramen was okay--the flavor was mild, even when I added chili sauce. The broth just wasn't giving. The tempura was also mediocre. The atmosphere is nice actually, but there's soooo many little gnats flying around trying to get into your food. I spent way too much time waving away bugs. The service was good. But you just order at a counter and seat yourself.

Snowy night in Cleveland so Ramin sounded good. Grubhub delivered, but Otani did not read the order and left off the additional items from the miso Ramen bowl...but of course we paid upfront for those. Would have been 4 stars if they hadn't screwed up the order and overcharged me.

I'm here in Cleveland for 2 days only! At the lobby bar of the hotel I'm staying at, I met a nice couple who lived in the downtown area for a year. I mentioned that I loved ramen and they spoke highly of Otani. It was walkable from my hotel. I went for the Jigoku, which is the spicy version of their Char Siu. The ramen came out hot and a full bowl. The service was great. I wouldn't rate this the best ramen I've ever had as the broth could of been more flavorful and the pork could of been a bit mor tender. However, I'm rating it 4 stars due to the service, hot bowl, and lots of toppings and noodles x

Ordered egg rolls, gyoza and tempura appetizer. These folks need a refresher class on making tempura batter. These batter here is extremely doughy and reminds me more of an undercooked stuffed biscuit.I would not use this place for pickup or delivery.
