Absolutely outstanding experience at Oliva. My wife and I dined here for Valentine's Day and we were very excited with the new opening. Our expectations were certainly exceeded with every aspect of our night. The interior decor and ambience was great, the staff was very knowledgeable and friendly, and the food was outstanding. We decided to skip the big steak and seafood meals and we ordered several of the pastas. We certainly enjoyed the variety and had lots to take home as well. Be sure to ask the server how large the meals are so you're not caught off guard because some are on the small side and some were very large. This will definitely be one of our favorite restaurants, only dining here one time. We will definitely be back.

Oliva is a new Italian steakhouse in the Warehouse District. Located below Acqua di Luca and owned by the same group, Oliva is a welcomed fine dining option in Downtown Cleveland. You can't see much from the exterior as the restaurant is at basement level with only a small window in the front. It reminds me of a garden apartment turned restaurant in New York City. The space feels both modern and classic at the same time. Despite the lack of natural sunlight, it feels well-lit. There's an awesome large painting of a flower on the wall behind the bar. The restaurant felt surprisingly big inside, holding several large tables and plenty of two and four tops. The full, open-air kitchen is in the back and has a large chefs bar around it where guests could sit and watch food be made. I came with a party of 5. Two of us got a mojito mocktail. It was pretty sweet. I think they only had one mocktail on the menu, which I wasn't interested in. They do have an extensive wine menu, wine by the glass and by the bottle. Two others got cocktails that they said were just fine. For appetizers we got the bocconcini di manzo, a filet mignon and ricotta roll. It was super interesting and very delicious. The steak was cooked medium rare for the most part. The cheese and breadcrumbs mixed with the steak and spinach chili peppers were a nice flavor. We also got the gamberetti, which was jumbo shrimp in an aglio olio sauce. The shrimp was seasoned well and the sauce was a little spicy, but still flavorful. My favorite appetizer was the primavera. The burrata was super fresh, I could have had another pound of it and the roasted peaches were an awesome addition to this classic dish. For entrees, a friend and I split the porter steak. Both cuts of meat (filet mignon and t-bone) were cooked to a perfect medium. The meat was super tender, it really did melt in your mouth. We also got the Gorgonzola cheese sauce, which was extra and not especially worth it. The meat just didn't need anything else. For the steaks, there are no entrees, so you have to get whatever sides you want separately. We got the baked potato. It was definitely undercooked. The chef agreed and they removed it from our bill. I also shared the sachetti pasta. It was a pretty small portion but a really delicious cheese pasta. Don't get this as your main meal if you're hungry. I also got a mascarpone cheesecake which was really tasty.Overall, the service was good and I enjoyed the decor and ambiance of the restaurant. As is true with most new restaurants, I think there are a few kinks to work out in the kitchen. However, I'll definitely return soon for a special occasion or when I'm in the mood for a good steak.

Tuscan Style Steakhouse and Cleveland's most authentic Italian Steakhouse. Beautiful restaurant, small and quaint. Service was quick and effective - Not pictured was the most delectable eggplant dish that I will be having again on my next visit Drinks were great and steak was flavorful and cooked perfectly. Will be coming back for pasta very soon.

The food was 10/10! We had dinner here for a bachelorette party and it was absolutely delicious! We ordered family style and I'm so happy we did bc we got to try so many different things! Our favorite by far was the whole bronzino. Probably the best I've ever had... EVER. Perfectly prepared and the flavor was unbelievable. The bone in ribeye was also really great! I couldn't stop eating the bread. The oil had olives in it and the butter was perfection. The sarchetti pasta was good, but not my favorite. I probably wouldnt order this again. The zucca side was great tho! The zucchini kinda melted in your mouth. Yum!

The food and service were top-notch, but I have come to expect nothing less from this restaurant group. The ambiance is cozy, but the acoustics tend to carry, so it can get pretty loud. I wouldn't recommend it for a first date spot because conversation might be difficult but definitely come on a third or fourth date or with friends or colleagues.

Lola Jacaj is a highly respected restaurateur but it's possible she's actually underrated. Last night we celebrated the holidays with a group of family and friends @ Oliva. Quite possibly the most exceptional dining experience I've had in CLE. From the knowledgeable, helpful and perfectly attentive servers, to the expertly crafted cocktails, to the delicious and exquisitely prepared and presented food, the entire experience was a 10/10 and made our celebration an 11! After that incredible debut, we can't wait to return. To make matters even better, the previous week we celebrated a birthday at our "old standby" Casa La Luna, which was exceptional as always. Ms. Javan's commitment to excellence, hospitality, her team and flawless execution is truly inspiring (and delicious!)

We attended the National Card show a few weeks ago and decided to come to Olivia for dinner. We had made reservations prior. I had a blast the entire time I was there. I was hanging out with the staff, chilling at the bar and only sat at the table when I needed to eat. The Shrimp that was served for an appetizer was amazing. i think that is top 3 shrimp I have had in my life. The ribeye I ordered was cooked to a perfect temp and served with potatoes that were simply dressed and amazing. But what stood out to me the entire time was the amazing staff here. They are really some great people. Thank you guys, hope to come back soon and visit.

We made a Valentines reservation in late December (almost two months before the holiday). We showed up for our 7:45 reservation and (like another reviewer) found ourselves sat in a small hallway across from the food heating lamps, 3 feet from the kitchen and 5 feet from the bathroom. Why a restaurant would seat people here is beyond me. Would the manager or owner have a friend or family member sit here? Doubt it. Remove the table- terrible seat.In my 31 years I have NEVER requested to be moved- but we did. The staff was nice and found a spot for us at the bar.Food was subpar, - appetizers were nothing special (filet/ricotta balls and cheese/prosciutto). We ordered a steak medium rare and it came completely rare.We love ADL and CLL (go multiple times a year). Would not recommend Oliva for the price point (similar to Marble Room or Red) or even a lower price point. Misses the mark for quality and overall experience.
