Old School Pizza & Wings - Rocky River

Wow. Wow. And WoW!Friday night pizza night. Looking for a new place to try in the neighborhood. Looked at a bunch of places and landed on Old School Pizza. So glad I did. Ordered take out through toast ordering. Easy peasy. Got the Bee Sting Pizza.Was told order would be ready at 6:38 pm. Arrived in the parking lot at 638. Go inside and this place is jam packed busy. First time there no idea what to expect. Usually when any place is that busy it understandably takes some time. Not tonight! I was greeted by a staff member at 640. Gave my name and order number. Was told to hold on a moment. Boom here is my order. That was impeccable service. Now to the pizza. I got the bee sting pizza. Man, it was delicious. Blend of Mozzarella & provelone, red sauce, spicy cappicola, and hot honey. Excellent pizza! Totally try this place. Next time will try to dine in as the vibe there seemed pretty fun.

I'm a bit torn about this one. Was hoping to see something magical due to location and huge possibilities. But what I saw was nothing new, nothing amazing, and way overpriced for the quality and lack of taste. Unfortunately they cannot beat Ohio Pie pizza which is about a block down the street. Overall pizza was greasy, priced high, and atmosphere was nothing special.

Neat little location in Old River with a great vibe and fantastic pizza. Service and food has always been A+. James & Victoria know what they're doing!

Great food. Service is a little spotty at the bar but it's worth a visit. The wings are wonderful, the pizza is great and the beer is ice cold!!!!

My first time here since they took over the old "FlipSide" location. The menu is way more than pizza with a good selection of salads and traditional entrees. Great craft beer choices on draft and full bar menu. René, our server, was friendly, attentive and so kind to a very challenging customer at the bar. Prices are reasonable. I got the special of craft beer pour and a one item small pizza for $13. Great deal. The sausage pizza was tasty with large chunks of sausage and good sauce. I feel they put on more cheese than most places which I LOVE! Not my favorite crust but it was good. Not too heavy and not soggy. There was a pretty good crowd (Cavs playoff game) but we easily got seats at the bar. They have added some picnic type tables outside for a small patio seating area.

First time in and had the wings and a pie. Both were really good. Wasn't super busy for a Saturday so or good came out quick and was very hot. Our server was very attentive even after it picked up a bit while we were sitting. I will be coming back soon. Maybe Monday as that's 1$ wing day. Place has a look off an updated pizza hut. Which is awesome. Check this place out.

Food Was Amazing I Had A Small Margarita Pizza Service Was Amazing Love The Ambiance plenty of seating

I got a Medium Pizza with Pep, Mush and Xtra Cheese. This place nailed it. Their oven gives you an old school 'hence the name' taste. I wasn't impressed with the Avon Lake location but I'll try it again. This River locale is so good. Super clean, nice staff and very cool layout. I just might be considered a regular here after my next 20 visits! I don't pay attention to prices when I'm getting pizza so I can't tell you about that. The beer and drink selection is vast.

First of all, I love this venue, a family-owned establishment that's so friendly and inviting. We had the burrata and roasted tomato appetizer. It felt so hand crafted I thought I was in Florence again. The pizza - outstanding. Everything was soooo fresh and flavorful. My husband said it was a good Negroni and I had the Aperol Spritz. Perfect. Rae, our server, was adorable and prompt with all our requests. We'll be sure to make it one of our regular stops this summer.
