Looking for hyper local? Run - don't walk - to old Brooklyn cheese company. They offer a selection of in-house and local cheeses. After trying their new goat cheese + honey + apricot spread, we quickly got a small container. Paired with locally made crackers, our pre-dinner appetizer was set!The mustards are made in house and are award winning. Don't be shy - you can sample them all! And when (not if) you finish a jar, you can bring it back in for a discounted refill. Our favorites are the Original (IPA) and Smoked. They're so delicious that we eat them straight out of the jar (yum), add it to our cheese platters, or use it in cooking. They offer a sampling trio, which we purchased as a gift. They make other creative mustard mixes (think horseradish mustard) that isn't part of their regular offering - so be sure to ask to try what new flavors they have that day.They offer a selection of other locally made food stuffs, including pickles and hot sauce.

Came in to buy a few Cleveland-themed mustards (and other goodies) to take to a friend's house as a gift...and stayed for lunch!Wife and I split two sandwiches, the Pearl Road and the Boho. The Pearl Road consisted of turkey, raclette cheese and cheddar cheese topped with a spicy berry bourbon mustard between sourdough bread slices then grilled to perfection. The Boho was also a grilled sourdough concoction, this time topped with cheddar, horseradish spread, salami, raclette cheese and grilled onions.Neither one of us could get enough of these two beauties. Dreaming of our next outing here again...

I think I had my hopes up a little too high for this place. I had driven by a couple of times and it looked really cute. So, when I had errands to run I made a point to plan for lunch here. Maybe I didn't understand the parking situation in the area but there doesn't seem to be a lot. After making my way inside, it's also fairly cute inside. There are a few tables for dining and a wide variety of products for sale. I wasn't really sure what was popular or kind of a must try item on the menu and after trying to engage with the person behind the counter, I didn't really feel like I got much guidance on my lunch and the interaction about the mostardas was fairly similar. If there's an amazing product on those shelves, I have no idea what it is. I opted for a sandwich and the seasonal quinoa salad. The sandwich was fine but a little light on whichever of their spreads that they put on the sandwich that's supposed to entice me to buy the jar. So, no jars were purchased. The salad felt like an odd combination of flavors and I left most of it behind. So, all in all, this place was fine but I definitely missed out on the excitement mentioned by other reviewers. It's probably not somewhere I will rush back to.

Incredible small business serving local cheese, mustards, supporting local, Ohio, domestic and imported goodies. Great sandwiches made fresh on local bread from Leavened Bakery. Amazing cheese and charcuterie boards.

Really great quaint spot for soup and sandwiches for Sunday lunch :) super high quality mustards and cheese selection as well!

Great selections of cheese, many of which are local, and the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. The clothbound cheddar from Kent was probably my favorite. I would happily return to try some of the softer cheeses. Their house-made crackers are very good too.

The Old Brooklyn cheese shop mostly focus on processing cheeses in their shop. So if you're looking for an extra strong cheese with a generous amount of rind on it, then you won't find it here. Nevertheless it's still a good shop for casual cheese fans. I got a Havarti cheese with flecks of red pepper flakes and black pepper. The cheese itself was good, but I could do without the red pepper flakes. Cheese is a snack item good by itself for me. My companion asked for their strongest, stinkiest blue cheese that they had available. The ladies behind the counter were confident that their Stilton was the strongest blue cheese they had. But alas, it was lacking in the moldy, stinky parts that my companion liked on his blue cheesed. Like I wrote earlier, their cheese are mostly young. I was personally a fan of it though. Parking is scarce. You'll find some at the side of the store and around the back. It's a quiet little cheese shop that also sells sandwiches, which I look forward to trying if I decide to come back at a later date.

I still love The Old Brooklyn Cheese Company. Always have, always will! I recently ordered a mini-cheese board off their online ordering system on Mercato. OMG. It was so easy. When I arrived at my designated day/time it was already waiting for me in a cooler, paid for, with my name on it to grab-and-go. I'm so appreciative that The OBCC is taking this pandemic seriously. They've always required masks, are enforcing social distancing and taking every safety measure possible. I had minimal contact during my pick-up and deeply appreciated it. My mini cheese board was more than enough for two people and honestly, what dreams are made of.

Many local cheeses and award winning ones too. When u come in they have samples out. You can also sample many more too. Samples were huge. Affordable and good cheese. Also bought local mustard that we were able to sample as well. Staff is friendly.

the front desk lady was very helpful and the shop was very nice with many choices that the lady at the from desk helped me choose from.the food tasted amazing with everyone around me telling me what they recommended
