The Vintage Ohio Wine Festival was a terrific event. It was neat and efficient how they gave you a booklet of the wineries & map of event. When you went around to visit the wineries, they would mark the wine you chose to sample. It was fantastic how you could purchase glasses or bottles. The store at the end was nice also. Guess sometimes you have to act & buy quickly. The medal winner tables and samples were cool also. Great to have the food and 2 music stages!! I will definitely like to come back to this event.

My friend and I went on the Tannenbaum Trail. The appetizers were one of the following at the different wineries: one almond nut bar, one stick of chocolate, one small container of chex mix, a small container of homemade soup (the best of all of them), hummus, and some rice mixture. It was not what I considered an appetizer. The ornaments were round metal discs with a wreath printed on it and the name of the winery; disappointing. The wineries didn't offer their whole selection of wines either. We wouldn't do it again.

My daughter and I have attended Vintage South for four years now and we have had a great time every year. They have a nice selection of wineries with something for all tastes. For the price of the ticket we had 20 tastes. We bought some old favorites and some new treasures. I would have liked to see a few more vendors there. We definitely plan to attend next year. Big plus....all the wines are made in Ohio so you are supporting local businesses!

Deck the Wreath Event. I received an email reply to my reservation with a bar code but never received any official details in the mail. The first two wineries we visited were great and still allowed us to have our tasting, ornament, snack (Paper Moon and Quarry Hill). The 3rd winery.. FIRELANDS would not allow us to use our bar code receipt even though we had an email stating that we paid for the event. They told us it was the last day of the event and we would need to go get the card to receive our $1 tasting. Are you kidding me? The were rude and not helpful. I really didn't even care about the tasting.. but when we then tried to get a glass of wine we were ignored both downstairs and upstairs. We ended up just leaving and moving on to Giddeon Owen which is another winery I highly recommend. I have been to Firelands twice. Both were NOT good experiences and I will NEVER go back again.
