Unbelievable my daughter and her fiancé planned there wedding there but had to down size because of the virus. Occassion's refused to work with them so that they could have a smaller wedding they said they would still have to pay the full price that they were going to pay for a big wedding. Also Occasion's refused to give give back the deposit and some money that was already paid back to them. I would never have an event there. Some of the people there are very rude.

Unfortunately we were one of the many couples that had to cancel/reschedule a wedding during covid. How a company handles things during difficult times speaks volumes, and occasions lacks compassion, friendliness, and consideration. We called Lisa to seek out our options in regards to our wedding, (canceling, postponing, adjusting room minimums, etc) she immediately changed her demeanor when cancelation got brought up. We ask if we could find someone else to take over our contract and place a new deposit, (MOST VENUES ARE ALLOWING THIS) nope, asked if we could adjust the room minimum or for any other bit of flexibility, it was a no. It's bizarre to not let someone find someone else to take over the contract, place a new deposit, and carry on. The highlight of all of this is we finally decided to cancel 6 months before the wedding, and occasions charges a CANCELLATION FEE. Which makes sense especially if expenses were already rendered on their end (they weren't, this was 6 months out no food or alcohol was used yet) or they were left with an unfilled date (which we offered to take care of to avoid the cancellation fee) this cancellation fee was thousands, and Lisa's way of making this better was I believe a 30% covid "discount".. and to be fair we NEVER asked for our deposit back, we absolutely understand what a deposit is for and we're 100% ok losing our deposit, it's the cancelations fee 6 months in advance with no option for the client to remedy the situation. In addition to this Lisa did not even give us a full week from receiving her letter to make the payment. Just be careful working with them, the venue is updated but it is overpriced, they lack flexibility, and they absolutely will take every dollar they can regardless of your situation. They are family run and you will realize that quickly, the first red flag was Tricia giving us a tour, half interested and definitely not friendly. The next red flags were the ridiculous room minimums, and upcharges, it is NOT all inclusive, and when it comes to utilizing their "wedding coordinators" there is so much they refuse to do. Oh and if you want to bring in your own stuff like napkins? Decor? Etc, enjoy the vendor fees, they charge for EVERY SINGLE LITTLE THING. Our interactions with Lisa were awful, she's incredibly rude and overall money hungry. There's a reason there's very few reviews. We also are mindful that businesses have been hit hard during covid, that is why we never asked for our deposit back, why we offered to get someone else in our date, and requested flexible room minimums or to switch event rooms, all of these options were declined by Lisa. Occasions ended up with close to $4,000 from us in deposits and cancelations fees, learn from our mistake, this is NOT where you want your event/wedding.

Visited for an evening wedding ceremony and reception. The layout of this banquet hall is lovely! The indoor space is spacious and there are French doors that open to a beautifully landscaped courtyard overlooking the gazebo. On the opposite end of the room is a wall lined with windows overlooking the pond and fountain. The reception began with music, bar, and a large appetizer bar serving cheese, sliced meats, crackers, and meatballs etc. when it came time for dinner, the staff was quick and very attentive. Dinner was served buffet style and was tasty! We enjoyed green bean almandine buttered red skin potatoes, Alfredo penne pasta, and prime rib. Everything was beautifully set up and the bathrooms were very clean as well.

I was throughly disappointed in the Mexican meal. The meal consisted of a taco bar, and soup. The supposedly was tortilla soup, but tasted like a creamy chicken soup. Additionally, there were no tortillas for the soup, only oyster crackers. It was bad, it was just strange. The taco bar was decent, but the "Mexican" rice was soggy. I was also shocked there were no enchiladas, chile relleno, or frankly anything that would be more impressive than things I could pick up at a convenience store and canned soup for dinner.

This place has been an outstanding party center, putting on parties you just dream of.They also would have monthly meals to the public.Wonderful staff, food, surroundings. This Dec, was the christmas meal.It was a greek theme, at least,, the main course was. And, of course, it wasnt mcdonalds, priced. In addition to cost for the meal, there was the cost for coffee, etc, as well as dessert.I by now, I wished I went to Prime, but...anywhooo, it was self serve, all the way.more coffee, food, all self serve. The help was NO WHERE.I looked for a water fountain, an finally waved a waitstaff person down.Got a salad served to us, after we got iur meal.Had to go to the entrance to ask where I got my pie.Guess I was adventurous, didnt see anyone else get any. They didnt have what I wanted, I asked for my Pie money back.nope.tried talking me into something else.nope.Got my pie money back.Geeeez.still no waitstaff.someone called them out.Wow.Lots of gals tucked away in the kitchens.Nice.It got pretty chilly then.Honestly, a really bad experience. An older lady apologized, and invited us back.I dont think he will be back soon.I felt fleeced with this.I expected greek cusine at its best, cookies, b e ads, pastas, but...nothing.How pitiful.Comeon, you do better than this!!!!

They only advertise the pretty garden room with the globes hanging from the ceiling. (Those cost extra to install) That's the room I fell in love with, but when I went for my tour they claimed you had to have a certain head count to use it. So we asked if we could use it for the ceremony and they said they don't do that either (they advertise on their page that they do). We ended up finding out they double book events. So another wedding would happening at the same time. If you get the candlelight room you better hope the other wedding in the garden room doesn't book the bridal suite because it's INSIDE your reception room. The venue claims to be all inclusive but it's more of a nickel and dime up charge for everything down to cutting your cake. You want to bring in a vendor like a DJ $250. Want to bring in your own cake $250. Want to use their napkins another several hundred dollars. They also will slip in that they reserve the right to raise the costs even AFTER you sign a contract. We cancelled our booking 8 MONTHS in advance, but their policy is you still owe 25% of what your wedding should have totaled to cancel plus your non refundable deposit. They received $2000 of free money from us, and still threatened us with their"legal" department because the check arrived while the owner was out of town. It's an okay venue, but the price and snooty owners do not match the value and quality of the venue! You can find a higher quality venue for the same cost or less with nicer staff.

My daughter just had her wedding here this past weekend. While the food was very good, they did not have things set up for the ceremony the way my daughter wanted. And they had issues with the lines for the beer kegs and couldn't serve beer to the guests after the first hour and had no back up plan. When I complained about it, I was told that I didn't pay for the alcohol anyway and that they had already settled up with the groom's parents. While it's true I didn't pay for the alcohol, I did pay FOR EVERYTHING ELSE and my invited guests went beer-less for most of the night. Some even left early to go to someplace that did have beer. Extremely disappointing.
