Great food, chill vibe and attentive service. Not a ton of menu options, but a good brunch selection. Ps. Try the ginger ale!

This place is a bit rich for my blood, especially when three cheeseburgers with breakfast potatoes, a cookie each and a soft drink for three adults was nearly a hundred bucks..Food here isn't bad, the craft soda flavors like cola and root beer seemed a bit 'bleh' to me and it was an expensive meal for something so simple as burgers (though pretty decent sized patties) served with breakfast potatoes. The giant oatmeal and chocolate chip cookies were excellent and that was our favorite part of a recent meal I enjoyed with my wife and daughter.The food was decent, but the bright spot here is the staff--everyone was very pleasant and attentive when we were there. There were a number of families with small children, including the people next to us. They left a mess of spilled food on the table and all over the floor. Within a minute of their exit someone was there cleaning it all up--with a smile.Not sure we'd go back again; it was just a bit expensive for simple food.

Food was very good, fresh; and the fresh squeezed juice combinations are intriguing. Service was fine, I don't particularly care for the waiting in line to order at the register. I wanted to try additional things once I sat down and saw the bartenders making smoothies and juices, but I didn't want to wait in line again. For this setting, it felt odd getting my own beverage refill. Just feels abit bougie but with fast food level service. The space is clean and cool, but music was a little too loud for lunchtime conversation. I know I'm nitpicking, but just trying to help the owners know what I believe could be improved upon. I would go back to try other menu items, and now that I know how it's done, perhaps I'll enjoy it more.

The quick ordering an upfront payment makes it easy to sit down and just relax . Food comes out relatively fast and is reasonable for the price and quality. Their breakfast is my favorite early in the morning when the restaurant is nice and quiet.. I would say their coffee with mint is my favorite drink of choice . This last time I went I got the ricotta banana pancakes in the squash hash with turkey.

Ugh! I'm not sure why I keep repeating the same mistake with this place! Again, I was told it would be 20-25 minutes for me to pick up my take away order. I was told that I could just pull up and they would bring it out. Well again neither is true. Restaurant guests are parked in the pick up spots. Who's monitoring this?So I parked and went in to get my food. It was ready .... Except for the cookie which was right "out of the oven" and needed to cool. 20 minutes later ... YIKES. Now my food is cold but my cookie is warm! See you in another 6 months when I've forgotten about this experience. Ciao!

We came in for dinner with friends to celebrate a birthday!I ordered the chopped salad without blue cheese crumbles. This salad consists of applewood smoked turkey, bacon, avocado, Point Reyes blue cheese, almonds, croutons, and apples with café vinaigrette. I loved this salad! It was amazing. So flavorful, and I loved the crunch. I also shared the dip duo with a friend, which is guacamole and pimento cheese dip. Both of the dips were amazing, but they came with way too few chips to eat our dips with. Overall, I would come back here again in the future!

Walk in. Study the menu. Place your order with the cashier. Grab a drink from the soda machine. Have a seat. And relax while your food is prepared and brought to your table. Northstar Cafe has created an upscale version of the quick-serve restaurant concept. They reduce their labor expense while not compromising on service or quality. The tracking device they give you when you place your order allows them to efficiently find your table when your food is ready.I enjoyed a hearty and tasty bowl of chili with chicken and black beans. It was accompanied by tortilla chips, which provided a nice crunch.My husband had a cheeseburger and fries. Was it the best burger ever? No, but it was still a high quality and decently sized burger.Our friends each had the rainbow trout, which was tender and flavorful. It came with a nicely portioned Caesar salad. The crispy capers on the trout were a surprising treat.They also ordered a side of fries, which took a while to arrive and were a bit disappointing as the fries were not particularly flavorful. They did come with a good aioli dipping sauce though.Overall, the Northstar Cafe offers a nice dining experience and a broad range of items on its menu. It's worth a repeat visit.

Food was OK but expensive. Wife had sausage biscuits with gravy and egg. I had pancakes, almost as good as mine. Good coffee. A place suitable for the upscale folks in Shaker. A very nice staff. We got compensated for my wife's meal being late.

Coming from Columbus, I know Northstar well. It's awesome - always has been. But in all honesty, the price is such a detractor for me. Going here is a treat - but a $25-30 one at that because we all know if I go, I just HAVE TO order the mint coffee. Like c'mon. No brainer! Anyways - yeah it's pricey but worth a try if you've never had. Service is very reliable and the place overall is just very accessible. Having this location in the bustling area that it is - it's perfect. Draws a crowd and knows how to manage it well.

Amazing food & very friendly and welcoming staff. Two days in a row we went there and they were 2 for 2, no complaints at all with the food. It was a little awkward having to get my own beverage, I guess it's an Ohio thing, I'm from out of town so I'm not use to that at all.Overall , good experience and very clean and modern up to date establishment.
